Is there an app, that is free or cheap (iphone) or a really easy way of sharing calenders and todo lists etc..

I am after a family calender sort of thing.

If it's just between Apple stuff, iCloud has this done well. If not, Google Calenders are also good, and only fractionally more difficult to set up.

You'll have needed to activate it for both your Apple IDs on iOS 5 devices first.

Go to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in. Go to Calendar and you'll see a list of Calendars on the left of the bloody awful UI -- by default you'll have "Home" and "Work" but you can rename, add, and delete them. Click the little radar-like circle icon and enter Mrs Kov's Apple ID in the box and select either read-only or read/write access. She does the same on her end. That should be it -- your iPhones should already have the calenders on them from the iOS 5 update.

No, and I'm disappointed you didn't mention Google Calendars either.

Getting a google account is solved by using google calendars.

If only someone had suggested that, this could all have been resolved hours ago.

We have a shared calendar on our kitchen wall. It's very convenient and requires no account set up. It has pictures of Miffy the rabbit on it.

Oh. Yeah. I had a more sophisticated value of "shared" in my mind.
