Today's lunch time plan is to moan and grumble to myself about how much I dislike working here.

Its hard to stay motivated when you don't actually like what you do. I've had a bit of a talking to this morning from the boss..

Aye, I googled her because I have no idea. So my frame of reference for her is pretty hot, with no idea of her opinions. Nice one.

Saw that one last night. Brilliant. Amazingly it's not my fave (but I'd be struggling to pick which one is). The quality is so high, Adventure Time rules all cartoons.

I think my top 3 episodes are: Memories of Boom Boom Mountain, It Came from the Nightosphere & Slumber Party Panic.

Boom Boom Mountain is really good, but kinda reminds me of Mario for some reason. Maybe it's just the 64-esque name. I prefer the really dark ones. Like when Ice King brainwashed that woman into marrying him.

SST, you were in my dream last night! So was flis. She was having a drink with us but had to go to her hotel room early so we went out to a club and met two hot girls, and then managed to charm one each. I distinctly remember us meeting outside the toilets to discuss strategy and compare notes :S
The next day, we met in the lobby of the hotel and I drove the hot girls home in an old red mini.

Haha, that's brilliant! And yeah, clearly a dream if I charmed someone.

I must admit, if I was having a drink with two women who are each six foot tall, I'm kinda disappointed it wasn't my dream. ;)

Fun survey time! You walk into a store, whereupon the deeply handsome and charismatic store manager wishes you a cheery hello. You're looking for something and you're in a hurry, do you...
A) approach said awesome manager and politely ask the whereabouts of the item you're looking for, or...
B) walk into a far corner of the store and begin to howl "hello?" plaintively, like some kind of psychotic house cat that's forgotten where its litter box is, then get pissy when the confused and slightly unsettled manager doesn't immediately appear at your side to assist you because, you know, it's all his fault that you're a cretin with no appreciable time management skills.

I love retail.

Amazon's returns support has turned to fucking suck.

We bought a clothes airer (from Amazon, not the Marketplace). It broke. It was outside (by 1 day) the 30 day returns period. The website made it absolutely impossible to generate an RMA, going in circles saying "Try the online returns centre ... No return possible, that order's more than 30 days old, try the help centre ... Here are some irrelevances, try the online returns centre..."

Eventually we spotted a link on a single page saying "contact us" which allowed the submission of an email, with no "it's broken for fuck's sake" option in the dropdowns. Admittedly this got a label within 24 hours but it's completely unacceptable to passively disavow the SoGA like this, in my opinion.

Oh, and on the "policies for various types" page, they explicitly state that after 30 days on electronics you have to go to the manufacturer first, regardless of reason. Which is outright illegal, unlike the dodgeball above.

I'll probably continue using them for nearly everything, and paying for Prime.

This afternoon I shall be visiting Coscto to stock up on beer and meat.

Tomorrow morning, MrsPaz's mum is picking up MiniPaz and taking her away for 24 hours.

Woo! Beer and meat fuelled birthday party madness! Sleep in!

Your birthday, DavPaz?

We are out tonight for Mrs Zs birthday (which was yesterday) for a Thai meal and booze. Should be good there's a fair few of our friends out with us too. The Baba Zs are staying out at their Grandma's too so it will probably end up going on into the early hours. For me anyway. :metul:

Tomorrow night I've been invited to a halloween house party and depending on what state I leave that, my local rock pub has a halloween all-nighter from 7pm-7am. I doubt I'll be around for the duration though.. particularly as the clock's go back an hour during that night. Although one of the 'features' of the evening is 'Cheesy oatcakes for breakfast' :D

Being a good politics nerd, there's something brilliant in a plan to change an obscure part of our constitution which would affect 16 other countries, needs their unanimous support, and is only really of concern to the unborn. Let's face it, where would the fun be if the British constitution made sense? :)
