I can - any song.

I hate hate hate hate hate hate detest despise and hate Madness, Suggs, his smug face and anything that they've touched with their horrible smuggy madness vibe.

You are both entirely fucking insane. I accuse both of you of starring in the hilariously/unfortunately titled new American cop show THE MENTALIST that I mentioned earlier.

To me a truly great pop song is one that I actually want to hear. I can recognise that something like Reach is brutally effective and very catchy but I can't imagine ever wanting to play it.

Why does it seem like everyone's been agreeing on mild sexual deviancies as being totally ok, and then Mr Chris piped up with "Yeah, and really, what's so wrong about bumming goats eh?"

It's the straight-laced sorts who are the deviants, it seems.

An intriguing challenge, hmm...

Our House by Madness

(My earliest favourite song at age eight or so, still their best work in my opinion)

So, disregarding indie rock etc... (no semantics arguements, please)

Basically anything off Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys, I know it's a cliche but hey.

Dancing Queen - Abba
And Your Bird Can Sing - Beatles
Village Green Preservation Society - The Kinks
Hey Ya - Outkast

And Cartoon Heroes by Aqua. No, really.

We are the cartoon heroes...

You're right, it's an excellent song. Now we'll probably both get banned.

Very true - that should have been self-evident to me what with "pop" being short for "popular" . :)

My sister likes to play 'Love Today' every morning at full blast- she seems to think it'll make her day a whole lot better. It's made me associate Mika with the antichrist.

To be honest I found that an automatic connection to make... :)

Actually, no.

Well, I don't *hate* it, just find it annoying. It's up there with "Cos I Got High"

Oh! And...

In Dreams - Roy Orbison
Telstar - Joe Meek/The Tornadoes
Don't You Want Me - Human League
What a Wonderful World - Sam Cooke
Only Fools Fall In Love - The Drifters

Dangerously close to Motown there, which has an unlimited pop resevoir...

It used to be the song I hated most in the whole wide world. Then somehow it flipped and now it's one of my favourites. Weird, huh?

Are their two albums even half as good as that song? Because if they are I'm going to buy them. I just listened to Gold Lion, that was good.

Thre's some inextricable connection between that song and university geography students.

I can't believe no one's mention Chesney Hawkes - I am the one and only. You should all hang your heads in shame.

The Treehouse songs are by the band I was in at school, so I'd be surprised if anyone knew them.

I quite like Barbie Girl by Aqua. Not many songs about extreme latex BDSM domination get such wide chart popularity.
