This was pretty much my itinerary too, I'm bringing bugger all except fresh clothes and toiletries really and will buy/beg/borrow (possibly in reverse order) everything else.

What an excellent idea!

Google tells me it'll take 2hrs 34mins to get to the cottage from Heysham if we use an M6 (whatever one of those is) so we'll be there about 3:30ish, maybe...?

My train is due in at 15:15 or so, so I imagine I'll be at the cottage for about 16:00

He said 5 minutes after Curiosity, so a couple of bottles should do it.

I was hoping to commandeer some kind of fridge-space somewhere (possibly before all that pesky food turns up), so, yeah, a shelf would be nice. Thanks.

I'm also bringing the chiller of "holy shit, that's still cold?", so that should help.

Flis, we only have on M6 and it's frequently broken and often full of cars. I'd research other routes also.

Chiller of Champions sounds better.

The hierarchy must be respected though... Chiller of Contenders perhaps?

What if we put the chiller in the fridge?
Would that be like crossing the streams?

I'm not sure whether to buy beer here and transport it down, go via ASDA to buy beer, order beer and have it delivered or other.

S'what I reckon. All we need initially are the essentials. Like bog roll. Then we can send the organised people shopping and start on the beer! We could turn it into a drinking game...."See how pissed we can get in the time it takes Ange to drag Curio round The ASDAS".

Curio & I would play the game "see how much of the budget we can spend on wine & drink in the car park" ;)

Myp & I are meeting Malabelm & Rach at The Asdas at 12, going for lunch, shopping for our own booze etc then mooching over to the house as & when we're ready (& when Curio et al have arrived obviously).

I had been thinking that. Friday afternoon n'all...bound to be a cunt of a journey. Worst we get here is 30mins in a mile long queue due to road closures. And it makes the news.

A50? Tbh, we'll travel down whichever road I accidentally take us down when I miss the exit off the roundabout or the wrong junction.

:DD

People need to tell me what to buy at Asda. I will go when I get to the cottage, after unlocking it and dropping off the wife and child.

Other people are only allowed to assist me in shopping if they don't hang around for bloody hours mulling over eight different varieties of yoghurt. I have no qualms about leaving people at The Asda if they're too slow.

I'm not going with you to The ASDAS? You get to have all the fun. Not fair!! I'll end up having to mooch beer from Bobbyaro yet again when you forget to buy the kind I like.

Edit: Ah! It just got mixed up in someone else's reply. *shrug*

Marvellous. Sufficient to allow for quizzing, I presume?

6 rounds, 11 questions per round, 5 or 6 teams... and almost entirely written :D

In other news! I've had 6 hours sleep in the last three days. I can't afford to have tomorrow off really, so I need to do a day and a half's work in the next three hours, get home, prep Friday night's dinner, pack the car and be on my way by about 8 o'clock tonight.

PARTY!
