I still cannae decide what's the better way to wind up the last person I down; bumming them with a smoke grenade ballgag or smashing them to death with their own arm :DD

As the only person to suffer both, I think Gill's opinion should be sought.

"Sought" doesn't look like it should be a word :S

And I never thought I'd request Gill's opinion on anything ;)

I agree Mr Vision, it was great fun and you were a great wingman :)
I think being beaten to death with my own arm was worst, it went on for ages!
And hey Alberto, I was kicking your ass at Horde last night ;) x

It's a team game and the numbers are only a guideline!

Great games tonight. Thanks to malabar, miss malabar and friend and also alberto for getting me to completion in horde. Wingman games were excellent, for randomly assigned teams they were unbelieveably balanced!

Shitty start but we got it together eventually. Then lost it a bit :)

Who did I kill with the one shot? That was the sweetest.

My mate Nathan — MOOB Somethingsomething.

Killing him and Kalmar at the start of the match when they only needed one more kill to get to 15 was brilliant. They must have been fuming.

Aye, that went well. I ended up distracted by beatport 'til the wee hours. Had a good few hundred songs in my basket at one point :DD

Hi The Vision! Sorry for jumping in on your game of Horde last night, wasn't sure if you were playing with friends or randoms. Starting out on level 50 was bloody tough, but so satisfying to complete. Glad I could make myself useful in the end.

Also: The 1337 with Wullie has begun! :metul:

I've seen this mentioned on a few sites this morning - but there is some bug with multiplayer split screen which can screw up your profile

http://www.vg247.com/2011/10/10/gears-o ... /#comments

Quote:
A relatively severe new glitch has popped up in Gears of War 3 that not only freezes the system, but also prevents players from entering any game mode thereafter. The problem appears to randomly afflict players that try to load Horde Mode in split screen with two profiles. Users on Epic’s forums began complaining of this problem, and Epic has responded quickly, clearly taking the problem seriously.

An Epic forum representative posted a questionnaire for the afflicted users to take so that Epic can try to pin down exactly what the problem is. After all, finding a single glitch hidden away inside the millions of lines of coding that makes up a game like Gears of War 3 is pretty difficult.

Epic also responded to Joystiq saying, “Getting this resolved is a priority for Epic. We are collecting information internally, sourcing as much as possible from the community and exploring potential fixes. We do not have any recommendations to share with players just yet.”

Assuming this isn’t just a PR line, the bit about “exploring potential fixes” should comfort players, as it seems to indicate they’ve located the bug and are simply figuring out the best way to deal with it.

Correct. (Or at least, this is what we're getting in Arcade mode. Respawn again after 30 seconds. Probably a consequence of balancing for 4 players or something)

Me and Kalmar had Drudge who wanted to be our friend. It didn't attack , couldn't be killed, and just followed us about like a puppy.

We had party chat on. Earlier on in the evening there were 5 of us in a party but by the time you joined, I think there was just 3 of us.

So you were probably talking tactics while I ran* around like a headless chicken then.

To be honest, no. We don't tend to talk tactics when clearly we should.

One of my friends always runs off on his own which is quite annoying a lot of the time.

Just helping out Kalmar complete a few levels he'd missed. If you'd have joined in we could have switched to Horde/Beast/etc.

I just managed to get Beast mode done on insane with some Polish guys so I've had my Gears fix, and I need to scratch my cheevo itch with something so I'm playing Enslaved:OTTW, but if you can get 3 or 4 then I'd probably be tempted to join...

Just me and Wullie in the end. Played a bit more 1337 campaign. Harsh but fun.

I played with myself last night.

Went for the 'try each versus mode' cheezo for something to do and ended up sticking around for a while. Really liked the torque bow tag mode too.

Might be on later if anyone is interested.

Cheers for the game last night Albertus. Shame we had a random selfish prick playing Horde with us but I got the cheezo I was after anyway.

Anyone bothering with buying the Season Pass? Looks like a lot of money to lay down for something they're not telling much about.
