Shock upset! After scoring a mahoosive 21.5 out of 24 in the league rounds, Grim... is knocked out on a no-show! Mark X goes through in his place!

The only thing I care about is that I was knocked out -nay, annihilated- by Queen. The shame! I'd jump off a cliff, but with my luck I'd miss the ground.

Everyone, please vote. I mean it. Especially those of you who've been a part of the game. We're looking at 10ish people voting in each group, which is a bit rubbish when we started with 30+ players. And of course, everyone else can vote too!

What Pundy and Zardoz said. All three rounds are very close, get your votes in. I'll close this at midnight, so a little more time for voting there.

I'm voting the way i've voted throughout, only for songs I like. I don't think I voted for more than 3 songs in any round, so there's no reason why that should increase now.

I voted on the one(s) I liked best out of the submitted songs.

Like everyone else I presume.

The votes are counted, and your finalists are Malc, Curiosity, Mr Russell, and Bluecup (because of a tie). However, I'm still missing some songs - and knocking out finalists at this stage for no-shows would be super-lame, so I'm allowing an extra 24 hours. Get it done, you lazy arses!

Hah!

Having got to the final with some unashamedly popular songs in the knockout rounds, I think I'll pick something less well known for the final (and will inevitably lose).

Aw, never mind, Grim...

Look at it this way - it's like... *cough* Adopts Shatneresque vocal mannerism

It's like every rose. Has it's... thorn.
It's like. Every. Night. Has it's... dawn.
It's like every. Goddamn. Cowboy. Sings a sad, sad. Song.
It's like. Every. Rose. Has it's thorn.

(Applause. Fade to black.)

And now it really is all over. Congrats to Mr Russell, who staged a dramatic comeback to steal the win on the last day with Europe's The Final Countdown.

Thanks all!

Thanks for hosting, Craster. However, I'm glad i didn't win when The Final Fucking Countdown is the winning song. There's some real music-related issues going on here. You should all be ashamed. :D

To be fair, I doubt it would've won if Craster hadn't belmed it up earlier in the week and called it a draw.

Constructive Criticism: could have done with a day or so gap between the knockout rounds, its just a bit odd otherwise. Oh, and I think it'd be better to have each person in a group pick a theme for a round, so that everyone gets a go, and no-one ends up picking loads, as I'm guessing that gets a little old.

I did make a point of rotating who chose the themes, as you're right getting the same person to do it each week would have been dull in cases. Probably right about the knockouts - having people submit a song even if they didn't know they'd gone through was a little strange.

I think it went on too long. 11 weeks is a long time, and I think the voting towards the end showed that fatigue was setting in. It's definitely going to be a good idea to automate it in future - hunting through PMs for youtube links and building them into threads is tedious, and I think it could be automated pretty easily.
