It's another morning on the now really rather empty Starship Enterprise.

Unsurprisingly, someone appears to have been shot in the head.

That person is Craster.

His head is all melty, and the wires put into his brain have all melted into gloop.

Craster was once a Civilian, but by the time he died, he was a Borg Drone.

But that's not all. There's been a scuffle. The Away Team have been out, and there's been a scuffle. It has ended in the death of a red shirted ensign.

That red shirted ensign was gospvg.

But that's not all. He, too, appears to have wires stuck into his brain!

gospvg was a red-shirted ensign, and also a Borg Drone.

With five people remaining, a mere three votes are needed to evict someone forcibly via the airlock.

Day Six ends at 9pm on Monday 19th... or sooner should there be a lynch.

So, there must be an officer, and that officer (at the time of the order) was not borg.

The Queen borg is not dead, so presumably the borg grew by 1, and then was reduced by 2, so a net reduction of 1.

We have at least one romulan.

Further thinking has the officer as Riker, which makes sense, given there has been 5 nights, and 3 dead borg, there can be a maximum of 2 other attempts to get more borg.

The Queen has a 50/50 chance of hitting Riker (2 from 4) so has a 50/50 chance of knowing who Riker is

I think that's it for now.

Oh, I'm still not a borg.

Oh, and the Romuan leader (once again at the time of the order), was obviously not a borg either (unless he has now ordered the death of 2 of the borg)

Why pete?

I think we need to look at who suggested the jump to TheVision...

Blimey, this is insane. Sorry about my absence yesterday, my nephew hurt himself, nothing serious, but had to get that sorted. Anyway, am working away at mo so on phone, hence the short post. Malc makes sence but I will hold off voting until later, after everyone has had a change to talk this mess out, will try to get back on at lunchtime but will defiantly be on after 4 ish.

Missed this before, but obviously there are not 3 borg or 3 romulans otherwise the game would be over.

After rereading the death scene above, I also missed that Riker knows who a baddie is.

I guess who doesn't know which flavour of baddie he is, but he does know that someone is bad.

Nothing co-ordinated about it, I'd got back in from work, and was catching up with the loads of posts posted, pete (and you, am I in colusion with you as well?) was posting at the same time. I imagine he was in the same sort of boat as me and came to the same conclusions?

Ok, we've still got at least 1 Romulan and 1 borg, with the possibility that they're both on the same side and we could have 2 of each, but no more than 2 on a side. So there's 1-3 good guys left. Obviously 1 is an officer, as there was an away team mission last night that uncovered a bad guy of some description.

Does the crew investigation obtain the type of bad guy a person is, or just that they are a bad guy?

okay, 5 left:
a civilian
An officer
A romulan leader
A borg queen
one other.

Wow, really finely balanced.

I was going to put a big long post of possible outcomes here, but then I remembered that pretty much everything I've done that wasn't based on cold hard facts has had hilariously bad consequences. I'll just reiterate that Pete is a bad guy of some description, and I would encourage the other 2 people who aren't on his side to vote for him.

Actually, why change the habit of a lifetime, here's some rambling.

If Malc and Pete are on the same team, then they're either both Romulan, or both Borg (there is of course the possibility that they aren't on the same team and it just looked like a bandwagon).
If they're both borg and Pete isn't the queen, then the borg can recruit again tonight and the Romulans kill. If the Romulans kill the queen, that will leave a 1 vs 1 vs 1 situation, unless the borg recruit a Romulan (or there are 2 Romulans).
If he is the queen, then depending on who the Romulans hit, we're left with 1 vs 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 1 (game over if it's 2 Romulans).

If they're both Romulans, then we'll still have a Romulan kill tonight, and a borg recruitment, and we could pretty much have anything tomorrow from 1 vs 1 vs 1 to 3 borg.

No, they don't know what kind of bad guy, they just know who they targetted and whether or not a redshirt died.
This does strike me as a bit silly though.

"Away team, report in"
"Sorry sir, we've lost one of the men"
"Not another red shirt, was it those pesky Romulans again?"
"Not sure sir, it was, er, bad guys"

I don't think they get any notification, just the fact that the ensign is dead.

I have a memory, that Curio said something like that too...

Current Star Fleet death scores:
1 Borg
1 Romulan
1 Redshirt
1 Civilian
1 Worf.

Pretty good balance really.

Joans, the borg will win if you stick with your vote on pete.

Bobby is either a civilian or a borg.

Well in my mind it's between you and SG, and from what I've seen throughout this, I think it's SG.

I was right about GOSPVG and craster, so I'm hoping this "pretty sure" is better than the "pretty sures I got wrong"

Okay.
Scenario 1
2 borg, 1 Rom, 1 Fed, 1 civ.
Scenario 2
2 Rom, 1 borg, 1 Fed, 1 civ.
And in theory,
1 borg, 1 Rom, 1-2 Fed, 1-2 Civ, but that seems unlikely given the borg recruiting, unless they hit Riker last night and Q on another night, is that right?

If the last one is unlikely then why is scenario 2 any more likely?

And couldn't there be a scenario where the borg have at least one of the romulans?

We know the borg have failed to recruit at least once, otherwise they'd have three now. It's possible they've got a Romulan, but I think that would have to have happened last night because the Romulans killed a borg.

I'm still thinking that was a bandwagon by pete and malc yesterday, because they couldn't have foreseen losing two borg in the night and would've expected game over. That only makes sense if they failed to recruit last night though because if they did, they'd have three.

Ah,

that reminds me, I was wondering about the death descriptions, the borg, get more borgy as they go on...

So there might be a clue in the death scenes, as to how long they have been borg

Come on Malc, provide us with some info. Why should I trust you over Joans?

I trust Joans to an extent, I just want to make sure we get the queen, and I don't think that Pete is the queen.

I can't give you any more info than that. I think it's between you and SG, and it's more likely SG than you.

Malc

Why don't you think Pete is queen? What are you basing that on? Are you a Romulan or a borg drone?

Option 1: Malc is a civilian of some kind, he just really doesn't think Pete is the queen
Option 2: Malc is a Romulan, and would prefer it if we hit the queen, rather than his Romulan buddy, Pete.
Option 3: Malc is a borg, and would prefer it if we didn't kill Pete because he's the queen.
Option 4: Malc is the borg queen and is trying to protect Pete who is a drone, but that's just being greedy.
