Right-o. Time for another Scum game.

This game will be loosely based around Star Trek (TNG). As ever, knowledge of the source material is wholly unnecessary other than for geeky in-jokes.

Rules will go up at some point this week, but will be largely standard, with maybe one or two interesting little quirks.

WHO'S WITH ME?

Players - 19
Mr Russell
DavPaz
myoptikakaka
Trooper
zaphod79
flis
nickachu
KovacsC
Bobbyaro
Goddess Jasmine
Alarm
Slightly Green
kalmar
Malc
Hero of Excellence
Joans
TheVision
NervousPete
MrDom
Craster
ElephantBanjoGnome

What's the deal with low-availability players?

Depends on how low their availability is. If your average posting is likely to be <1/day then I'd give it a miss, but there's no need to be posting a zillion times.

THAT SAID, there will be encouragement to be a bit talkative, following the deadly silence of the last game.

Erm, why is my name not on the list already? I specifically issued an edict that I was to be considered IN for all games between now and the end of time.

Because I can't be trusted to remember such things.

The problem being that the mods have to type in your existing name in order to find it and change it. Chances are you'll be stuck forever now.

Luckily we don't. Otherwise Lambasting Sasquatch would have had an unexpected name change.

I'd be happy to be signed up for this, as the concept is intriguing. I haven't been involved with any of these *scum exploits previously, however, so if someone can point me in the direction of a set of guidelines to follow, I'll in.

You should have access to the Mafiascum forum up the top of the page, where all the previous games are kept. Have a read through to see what happens :)

All you really need to know to start with is not to vote for anyone for the first couple of days, then just vote for the people who talk the most... :D

Any more for any more?

Sign-ups will remain open until Sunday, at any rate. Not sure what time Sunday... but I'll be sending out the roles in the evening, for a Monday morning start.

That's the problem with a theme game. If anyone tries to express interest in the theme by doing a good quote then people see it as a role-claim and as such people say less instead.

It's better in my mind when people are still roles such as 'mafia', 'detective' etc but play a role in the game completely unrelated to their mafia role. Eg. it doesn't follow that someone roleplaying Kirk is actually a good guy.

But then of course you lose the point of themes.

Here's an idea. Try not killing me off on the first night if you want more talking :D
