I considered picking sinead for my own song, but thought that may be cheating.

I think I have to go for Carter even though all his songs sound the same. Gentleman Rhymer was fairly amusing but I wouldn't want to listen to it on a regular basis. White Stripes would be in third place for me.

Carter, not a huge fan, starts well enough then turns into bog standard Carter

Futureheads, Love this, but can't work out if it's because I love the original.

Me first, Dear god no.

Mr B, Great, for a minute, then grates.

Sinead, Obvious, but obviously good, toss up between this and futureheads.

Sod it, i'll be obvious...

I'm with Trooper, Sinead it is.

Also, what the fuck did Carter think they were doing with This Is How It Feels? I like Carter in their own right, but seriously guys, no need.

Carter - Not the best Inspirals song, but it's a decent enough cover version. Do agree that it sounds much like every other Carter song, though.
Futureheads - Yeah, that's pretty good.
Me First - No.
Mr B - Well, I tried again but he's still about as funny as Weird Al Yankovic.
Sinead - I hate this song with a kind of faintly unhinged, eyelid twitching passion. Go away Sinead. *twitch twitch*
Jolene - Yeah, s'alright innit.

Futureheads or Carter? Carter or Futureheads? Hmm... Carter it is! Hurrah!

Carter
Like the intro, but overall it's a bit 'meh', and I prefer the original by some distance.

Futureheads
Always liked this cover. Saw them do a great acapella version on some show once.

Me First
Standard MF+GGG stuff. Not really a fan.

Mr B
See Group F for comments.

Sinead
Good song, but never really been a favourite of mine.

White Stripes
I adore this band... but never really liked this cover. Not tuneful enough.

Futureheads FTW.

Sinead is a notoriously hard edged bird, so to create the tear in the video she twisted her own nipple before that famous shot TRUFAX

I don't get it... she's in a band and she's the drummer of said band.. yet, and this is the funny part... she can't play drums!

Astounding.

She plays drums just fine if you ask me. Mo Tucker was a lot worse and was in the legendary Velvet Underground.

She has the level of competence of someone who's been learning to play the drums for about 2 days.

Which is fine if you've only been playing the drums for two days. If you're still only that good after years of playing, oh dear.

I think it's fine for the style of music. I quite like it.

She's not an amazing drummer but people are going off a terrible quality recording of that song, where you can even barely hear the hi-hat or bass drum for most of the start, so it does sound off.

I am warning you with peace and love, playing the drum parts on The Beatles Rock Band has given me a new-found sense of respect for Ringo.

I fully agree that he was actually massively creative in his drumming as opposed to the rubbish that everyone makes him out to be, just because he didn't follow the standard of a regular drumbeat with some creative fills.

Whilst he wasn't the greatest drummer in the world, He was quite inventive and clever within his limitations but I feel this is another story for another thread.

Meg White isn't very good.

*Edit* Yeah, what Russ said.
