I hereby semi-formally unveil Lonely as a Mushroom Cloud, one of several Things I have lined up for this year. Possibly one of many, depending on what goes on with Boring Medical Stuff over the next couple of months. But definitely this for now.

Will it help if I tell you why? I want to set up my old xbox in the style of Mr D, but I don't want to have it log in to XBL and get me banned.

Is it chipped?

It's only if you let it boot up with the dashboard turned off that it'll attempt to connect to XBox Live IIRC.

On all the routers I've owned, you can set up a firewall rule to block any and all outbound traffic from any given IP address. That'll do it as long as you set a static IP for your XBox.

It isn't chipped, I am attempting to softmod, I have tried a few times and never managed to complete it. Wil try the firewall route*, thanks Craster.

If it is softmodded then it won't log into Xbox live. Mine doesn't anyway.

during the file transfer it might, however, I have fallen at the first hurdle, in that I can't find the adapter to plug the controller in to the xbox!

Friends is fantastic, it's one of my favourite ever American TV shows.

I have the complete 10 series DVD boxset.

It's good value for money. You never see them on TV.

Friends is ace.

As is the Charlie show.

It sagged a little sometime around Series 6/7 IIRC (can't say specifically off the top of my head), but then went stellar again for the finishing series.

At its funniest I honestly don't think there's a better comedy out there, and it manages to do poignancy and emotion far better than most other stuff too.
