Some afternoon/evening or other, back end of August, in Cardiff. We're all going to the pub, seeing as I'm about.

I've moved out to posh cowbridge, but if I can find transport and babysitter, I can come and sponge drinks from you. You were offering to buy the drinks weren't you? I'm sure I read that, did anyone else?
PS, any chance your good lady wife will also ne in attendance, perhaps to raise the tone of the conversation?

City Arms is awesome now, btw. Beers from around the world, and a Beer Card which nets you back 10p for every £1 spent. Already saved up £9! (Um, after drinking £90's worth there. But Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is sooo nice!)

I'll probably be allowed to play out, especially if you go to the City Arms. Great pub. So great, in fact, that I'm going there tonight. Mmm, ale.

Yup, that ale was good. Woke up with mild hangover, but still heroically unpacked everything and now I'm all settled in and everything.

Mmm, that Brooklyn lager they had was crisp and cool and foamy, just what I needed after a hard day shifting heavy things. But yes, c'mon people - we gotta do this! Anyone in Wales and Bristol head on down and we'll party-hard.

Or we could just randomly turn up at Cardiff pubs and shout 'Oi, Goatboy!' throughout August and see what happens?

OK, I'm doing the following:

17/8 - drive to Wales
18/8-22/8 - Be at Beautiful Days festival in devon.
27/8 - wedding in Cardiff/reception in Ponthir

So, looks like the 23, 24, 25, 26th (22nd at a push) are the days I'll be free. I'll either be in Canton, Roath, Goytre, Llamasoft Towers or on the Glanusk estate, and that's fluid, so if you bastards could figure out a day from that lot I can be in Cardiff and so might the missus. Friday 26th might be ideal for a lot of folk, I'd need to be in a fit state the next day though.

/edit also, having bought festival tickets, it turns out the job I thought'd run until that week actually finishes next week so I'm stopping smoking and all sorts to afford coming down there, so normal pub prices places only, please!

How does Friday 26th sound then, in terms of most people probably having Saturday off?

Can also do Thurs 25th or Weds 24th but certain friends have gone and booked themselves in for Chemotherapy the back end of the week and now I have to see them on either the Monday or Tuesday night.

Weds or Thurs is most likely for me, as I'm in work late Friday and 'doubling back' for an early start Saturday. That all depends on not being put on late Weds and Thurs too.

Main night beibng Friday may not preclude other beer happening on the Thursday or Wednesday, mind you.

Friday 26th sounds good to me. Will be working the Saturday though. Boo. Thursday, Wednesday, also acceptable for tipples.

CITY ARMS!

Sounds good to me too. Pete only wants you to go to the City Arms as he's got some loyalty card scam going on there.

Work has now counted me out... doing lates on Weds and Thurs too, to ensure I shall have a hellish nine consecutive days in (and none of those nine are available to be booked as annual leave). Sorry.

Right, Friday night, 7pm, City Arms, is it?

Just had a strange five minutes where I thought Half Man Half Biscuit were coming out with us but apparently just their occasional guest brass player is staying on till the weekend after their Thursday gig. Could have been interesting.

Also: will be in Cardiff (Canton) from this evening, so if owt else is happening, lez know...

Gosh! :)

I also might be off out tonight with some friends after work at the City Arms for just a couple of post-Green Man wind down drinks. Might see you there too!

Plenty of green man veterans out on Friday, you'll find. Also, was talking to green man organisey lady the other day, remind me to talk to you about green man lady on Friday.

Today, I am mostly doing nothing at all, then in the evening I will be attending Mr. Dom's house where my dignity will surely be compromised in typical fashion.

Tonight I am off to the Bridge of Cows to see Mr. Dom. And some cows, hopefully.

Moo.

They have made no impression on me whatsoever after 2 gigs, both of which I've paid to see. Bad sound, bad singing, bad musical composition - all detracts from the apparently rather clever lyrics. My mate worships them and the lass who does their brass sometimes will be out tonight. She never told him (they are best mates) that she'd got a gig with them and the first he knew was when she appeared on stage.

Pwned :)

Heigh-ho, at least with them not turning up they are spared your scorn.

I'll be around anytime between seven and half seven. Rixondale's probably going to be more eight o'clock. Let's see if I can recognise you without hair.

Shame I had to leave early but - gagh - work.

Really pleasantly odd it turning out that you knew Carl and Emily too.
