Note that I couldn't find Fear Of Tigers.

This is a very strong set of songs for me. Very difficult to choose but I think the Passions have it for me. Though I do quite like Veronica and I've never heard of her before so maybe that one. Fear of Tigers are great too. That Jurassic 5 track is thoroughly solid as well.

I used to like playing Texas Flood on Guitar Hero but he's going overboard on that one.

And again who knew that so many people would go for the Wurzels this week! What an amazing coincidence!

I like the Veronica song a lot but I'm afraid it's beaten into second place with that Passions song for me.

Any 9 minute song is automatically vetoed.

Was unaware of that song (well, remix) by Fear Of Tigers before now. It's bloody good, and bagged three points from the Mark X jury. Aside from that, it was so close between The Passions and J5, I've already forgotten which I'd awarded two points to.

I actually left listening to the song by Veronica Maggio until last, as I'd (somehow) expected it to be a slice of peerless Eurocool very much in the same vein as Sugar Ray or Soffy O. Went away a little disappointed, frankly. Sorry, whoever picked Veronica Maggio.

Fear of Tigers - Ooh, dancey! No, not the sort of thing I like, I'm afraid.
Jurassic 5 - I don't get rap. I'm sorry. And I want to sellotape their fucking arms to their sides.
Stevie Ray Vaughan - It's the best so far. Still not my "thang" though. Oh Christ, it goes on for almost 10 minutes. *makes cup of tea*
Fuck, is he still going?
The Passions - I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that people aren't taking this seriously at all. Either that or I have the narrowest taste in music in the observable universe. Oh alright, she gets a point just for the dancing, and possible a second point for those slimline mics.
The Wurzels - I have a feeling this is going to be epic. You're not very good at this "punishment" stuff, Cras. This is fucking brilliant!
Veronica Maggio - Oh, this is good! I like this a lot - have three points, young lady!

So Veronica gets three, the Wurzels get deux points and The Passions and their gratuitous Eightiesness get one. Hurrah!

So the way forward is probably just to not submit anything and let the novelty song rack up the points? *sigh*

If it's the one I like second best, I'll give it second-best marks. If people chose stuff I liked I'd vote for them over the punishment songs. It wasn't the case in this group this week.
The obvious solution if people are going to get huffy about it is to allow people to vote for the punishment songs if they wish, but if said song finishes in the points, don't award the points to the non-contributor.

Oh I have no problem with people voting for them if they think they are better... I just wish they weren't better!

Excellent group, really strong. Stevie Ray Vaughan gets three points, what an awesome, awesome song. Jurassic Five had my two points right up until I listened to that last track and it stole them so J5 get one. When I saw the line up in this group I assumed j5 would be getting three so I'm quite surprised by how it turned out. Wish I could have awarded another point to fear of tigers. They can have the one I gave to Alison Krause.

Fear of Tigers - I cannot decide if I like this or not.

Veronica Maggio - I really like this. 3 points!

The Wurzels - NO.

The Passions - Good song. 2 points!

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Nice, but far too long.

Jurassic 5 - Great song. 1 point.
