We all set for this then? Wullie you coming? Anyone else?

The weather is looking great :DD

Still there's nothing to beat the thrill of sleeping under canvas as a thunderous, torrential storm rages overhead.

Only seeing light rain for Friday. Which forecast are you looking at?

I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine, trust me.

Few things are more manly then digging trenches at 2 o'clock in the morning during a thunderstorm to stop a camp being flooded out.

I'm sure it'll be fine, at the very least we'll get to see if the techno-tents work as advertised.

Followed by a naked wrestling match with Oliver Reed in front of a roaring fire.

Right! I checked trains and I can get into Penrith for 6:50pm on Friday evening. Is there an offer of a pick-up from the station again? I emailed the campsite and rang, no answer, so looks like I'll be winging it again like last time. Did anyone else book in advance?

I already booked for you, I just wasn't sure if wullie was coming or not. Baz is driving but I'm pretty sure he won't mind a trip to the station.

Knackered. Very good fun, lots of rain but nothing too heavy.

I'll post more tomorrow.

Good turnout in the end, cheers to everyone who make it.

My legs still don't work properly.

Key features of Tinkers 2011:

4 men jumping with fright at the sound of a pack of hound dogs going mental.

4 men not needing to be rescued from the top of a hill but watching some poor sod get searched for and lifted off.

A toad.

Burger hotplate engineering

2 special guest stars (will they reveal themselves themselves?)

No sick.

No stings.

Full English breakfasts.

Quechua pop up tent formations.
