I go for the console version over the PC version because I will always mod the game up, break the game, fix the game and then have no time to play the game left because it's 2am and I need to be up in 4 hours but god dang it I couldn't go to bed with it still crashing on me.

Any machine that has stopped working while you're using it must be fixed before sleep. This is fundamental.

5 Pro marijuana arguments that aren't helping.

I pretty much concur with all of this.

I appear to be some harbinger of misfortune in the past 16 hours. Firstly, I was going up to Headington to see some old colelagues, hopped on the bus, which travelled for 30 yards before mowing down a cyclist. Then, this morning, I was crossing the bridge over the road, and an articulated car transporter went under it. For about 4 feet, before the roof of the new Alfa Romeo on top of it arrested the process with much scraping and twisting of metal.

Hahahahah, all the bananas, Chinny. :)

So, I got OOO and the "nice vegetation" mods to work, but now with either or both running it's borked my framerate (it's not a gaming laptop). It was running just fine before. Bobbins. Time to uninstall the mods and play normally.

I got to walk through the driver's cab today on the train, as I was late. I think this will be the highpoint of my day.

There's a yawning chasm of difference between what you can achieve in life and what you want to achieve in life, and you've got to mind that gap.

In the office, after discussing The Apprentice, and what that woman who left this week did, we tried to work out a way to describe to others what some people in the industry do. By far the best answer was this:

"The way to view it is this: They take money from poor people, take a cut, give it to some rich people, who take a cut then give it to some soon to be rich people. After a bit, they give it back to the rich people, who take a cut, and give it to them, who take a cut, and then either give it back to the poor people, or give it to some more rich people and the cycle starts again".

I've also learnt that cricket bats used to have to be broken in (takes about 6 weeks), and that the thing about footballers being born September-December is true as one person coaches a team and only one of the new intake was born post January. ANd MrsA wants a weekend away, it seems the prospect of BeexBQ and a night in a hotel just isn't enough.

No, as I was saying to them, my only experience of playing was out school. Each and everytime I was out for a golden duck, so my impression of the game was standing around in a field for an hour. Complete fucking waste of my time. It colored my impression of it for years. Now, however, I really enjoy watching it.

It's the fact that the hair migrates off your head and onto your body that perplexes me. Thankfully I'm not there yet, but my Dad does give a good indication of my genetic destiny.

Very true mate, but then I've always had a 'Carlos Fandango' chestwig and am proud of it! Makes me the urbane troglodyte that I am. :D (Women are very Marmite about it - they either absolutely love, or loathe, lots of chest hair, at least in my experience. Same goes for an overtly muscular build).

Om nom nom! I love a hairy chest....

Heh, Ramsea bought a heart rate monitor and couldn't get it to work, he was sure they'd sent him the wrong thing (he didn't read the instructions, obviously). I did...."Er, it says here that excessive chest hair with stop it working, retard, it needs to have at least some contact with your skin."

Or even if it is there at all. It isn't outside the house, and I didn't see it at the station yesterday or today, so it is stolen or in a Park and Ride car park. I'd know if I had my suit on, as I'd have a bus ticket in it. but I don't as it is mufti day. And it will be in one of two car parks.

I once impressed friends with being able to get the Golf to turn it's headlights on from 500 metres away in a carpark, thanks to the "welcome home" feature combined with fresh batteries in the key.

Conclusion - buy a Golf and ensure you have fresh batteries in the key zapper, Then go to the carpark at night, climb on top of a car and start zapping.

Hey, it livens up a Monday morning, right?

BOOO! You've ruined it now. I had all kinds of things in my head as to what happened.

My brother has chickens - they're awesome. Lovely fresh eggs, and cost next to nothing to keep. Their poop is good, but horridly vile, fertilizer as well.

Apparently badgers like eggs though, and badger proofing a fence or pen is quite a feat of civil engineering.By all accounts chicken wire tacked to small bits of wood just ain't up to the job.

I keep my badgers a good half mile away, they don't seem to roam that far, or not in this direction anyway.
