Went to Grillstock yesterday in Bristol, http://grillstock.co.uk/

I wouldn’t call myself a barbecue expert; I have 3 of them though including a smoker. I wanted to go to speak with the experts and get some tips on smoking food in my smoker as this can be a 10 hour exercise!

Really enjoyed it, you could have looked around everything in about 2 hours but they have beer and live music. Highlight was the chilli eating competition; the winner must have eaten 4 or 5 million scoville chillis. (Tabasco is around 8,000 scovilles.)

There were also some mental barbecues these are just about to launch in the UK http://www.biggreenegg.co.uk/shop.aspx. The largest one with accessories will set you back £1200, my new kitchen oven was £650!

Webbers most expensive gas barbecue is £2950!

I've been trying to avoid buying one of these for the last six months:

I don't reckon I'll last much longer.

Uh, funny coincidence. Just yesterday Danielle was telling me about the two Big Green Egg BBQs she used to own in America.

Also, 4-5 million Scovilles is the same as pepper spray :O

These ate guys 4 or 5 chillis at 1 million, that was as high as it got.

Not sure if you can get them much hotter that 1 million?

My XL Big Green Egg arived today

Stupid money but I don't care, we get a bonus as work and I've been spending my money on sensible things for the last 5 years.

So everything sensible was covered, well after most of the bonus went on new windows.

Looking forward to using it and getting into some winter party outdoor cooking.
