Goodness me, the Kings of Leon were LOUD last night. Gig was at Old Trafford cricket ground, which is about two miles away from Chez Warhead as the cruise missile flies, but we could make out the lyrics quite clearly and the bass was like thunder.

Didn't hear a thing on the south side of Sale, even in the back garden barbecuing. Thankfully.

Leaving it a bit late, aren't you? Mrs WH usually begins in January, when all the Christmas wrapping paper is dirt cheap. Her method is to buy pressies for people whenever she sees something appropriate, which could be in the January sales. By the time we get to December she typically only has one or two left to find.

Yesterday my stuttering friend said, "And and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and you can fuck off too, it's not funny!".

Get one of those little squirty water guns. Everytime they start gossiping, squirt it in their faces and say "No" assertively. Women hate water, and they'll soon learn to associate the water with gossiping and the No, and so will quickly stop on command, without the water. Remember to praise them and offer small treats when they're silent

I'd normally be doing the same, but starting a new job in Dec and not getting paid till the end of Jan messed me up a bit this year.

Tell them, diplomatically if you must...."Can you be quiet, please? *They death stare you* Sorry, I thought this was an office, not a coffee morning. Look, I'm not the only who has noticed that all you seem to do is talk *motion towards boss*, it's making me look bad too because I'm sat in the middle of you all."

The Big bang Theory did this sort of thing most excellently in an episode.

DLT trending on Twitter today after that Burmese woman who was under house arrest said how he was her lifeline on BBC World Service.

Also in the news, Nelson Mandella says he owes his life to Simon Bates.

You should have a listen to that Chinny (on Today), it was quite amusing. They played some clips from his Radio 1 show.
He always sounds like he's broadcasting in AM even when he's not. I haven't heard that voice since he massively rage quit back in what, 1990?

August 1992. I was sitting outside the aquarium in Boulogne having just having sourced a copy of Amstrad Cent Pour Cent, the French CPC magazine, listening on my Walkman.

After the initial excitement I quickly realised not only was it a fairly poor magazine but I couldn't understand a word of it.
