Oh for sure, it was a stupid and completely wrong thing to do.

But 8 months? I can't help but feel the judge was being a little disproportionate due to the offense being in his own manor, so to speak.

Considering the maximum penalty for CoC* is two years I'd say she did no bad.

Indeed, and that is my problem with it. Especially as in the very same case, the woman who was involved in the case that she chatted to on facebook, had already been sentenced to a 2 year suspended sentence for exactly the same crime.

But it was under orders hence technically not a crime. Their CO had ordered them to rob the bank in order to bring the war to an earlier end, but while they were undertaking the mission their CO was killed so there was no proof of their orders.

Indeed, but that makes it "a crime that wasn't really a crime", rather than "a crime they didn't commit".
I'm pretty sure the residents of Hanoi thought it was a crime, anyway.

You'll want this post

viewtopic.php?p=559023#p559023

but basically a PM to 'beex weeker' should sort it all out.

A variation on this yesterday -

User : Are you on holiday?
Me : Yes
User : My wireless won't connect

I don't actually mind getting calls out of office hours, or even when I'm on holiday, but it's a little frustrating when the only problem is the user not being able to type their own password properly.

I've noticed that Tony Hawk Shred (the gnarliest marmalade ever) is down to £19.99 (including the wireless skateboard thing) at Amazon and Play. Has anyone played it? Just wondering if the controller is actually any good.

It's only usually a couple of calls a week on average and it's usually from the more technically-challenged users, so I feel rather obliged to help them or they'd just struggle otherwise. Although they often try to disguise the fact that they're calling out of normal office hours -

User : Are you in the office yet?
Me : I'm not even dressed yet

or

User : Are you still in the office?
Me : Er, no. I've been home an hour

Or there's one who'll always say 'Oh, I was expecting it to go to voicemail...'. If my phone rings, I'm going to answer it.

Yesterday was first day at new job.

I started a 8am and spent about an hour peeling and chopping parsnips, then chopped peppers, then chopped beans, then took the skin off the peppers that I chopped earlier after they had been roasted, I also chopped up a massive bit of pork and marinaded it in a carribean style dressing.
I then got shown the bar and chopped some lemon, lime and orange, restocked things and sorted out some mint.

At least I didn't have to dish anything! :D

How close to the action is the window? Will you be able to see the wobbly bits without binoculars?

I was at a party of someone who is a script writer the other week who had a letter stuck to his fridge from the script editor of Eastenders about a storyline submitted by my host.

The letter went into great detail about why the proposed storyline "Phil Mitchell does a poo in the mini mart" would not work.
