So last weekend we had a bank holiday in Sweden so my Girlfriend, her dad, and I went up to where her dad grew up in lapland, to here

It was a long ass trip from Umeå, we took the bus to Piteå and then drove the rest of the way.
This is what the bus looked like

It was pretty boring.
On the drive up in the middle of the motorway stood a family of reindeers. In the middle of the motorway! unfortunately I couldnt get a picture as I was driving at the time, but was pretty crazy to see them just trotting along as if there wasnt a motorway there.
When we finally got there this is what we were greeted with,

It was basically daylight at midnight. We settled down after a couple of drinks and then the next day we headed to the nearest town, Överkalix, about 50km away.

On the way out we saw some reindeers by the side of the road, this time I just about got a picture before they ran away.

After the 2 and a bit hour round trip to the town, we did some lawnmowing around the house and then took the boat out onto the lake.
This was the first view I had of the lake

We took the boat out for a spin and then returned back to the house for some food. My girlfriends dads sister lived just a few k down the road and she has this awesome dog, I met the dog.

There's a lot of trees there

A power outtage was then forced upon us and we were without power for most of the night, so we just slept.
The next morning we went out to the lake to fish, it was a bit windy so not great fishing weather, we didn't get anything.

After a disappointing morning we got some lunch and then went to the other side of the lake to look at the site where my girlfriends dad is probably going to buy and build a cabin on, There's some nice views of the lake from there.

In the evening the weather got a lot better. It was really calm, not a breath of wind. Perfect fishing weather (apparently)

We took the boat out to lay some nets

While the sun was "setting"

The boat was making strange noises so we headed back to the land to fish

And then after my girlfriend had caught a couple of fish, I got some nibbles, and then eventually I caught my first ever fish! :D

The place also had no proper bathroom, we had to poop outside. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting

In the next morning we had to check what was in the nets, my girlfriend and her dad went to get them while I fished at the shore to no avail.

This was our haul!!!

The End.

her dad's sister, she was 70.

And my girlfriend hates pics of herself and would kill me if I put them on the interwebs.

The dog also killed a rat. he just ran off into the grass and next thing was throwing a rat around and then killed it and wouldn't leave it alone. Dog is awesome.
