Be Excellent To Each Other

So a while ago my 360 got stolen and I've only recently been on my new 360 and trying to figure out my login details for xbox live. Unfortunately I can't seem to remember any of them.

The problem comes in that it doesn't sign in with gamertag but email address. It's been a long time since I set up the account and can't remember what my email addres was back then.

Do you reckon there's any way I can get my gamertag back and my DLC?

Calling Microsoft's Xbox CS line up and confirming some account details would probably be your only course of action.

Assuming you're not being facetious, DerekFME usurprisingly. Been on the phone to Microsoft but there's nothing I can do. I got the console second hand and paid to change the gamertag as it still had xbox live for about 6 months. So there's no record of me having ever been on xbox live with my own details. Oh well never mind. Worse things happen at sea you know.

How on earth do you forget an email address?!

Because it was never my email address and I have had so many of them since 2006...

Do all of your email addresses get handled by the same email program? If so, then searching your email (or your computer?) for 'xbox live' might (might) help? Slim chance, I guess.

I've managed it before.

When my hotmail account got hacked and started sending spam all over the place, I disabled and deleted it. I got gmail instead, which caused a problem when trying to register a new email address for xbox live. So I never bothered. Then, we got a family gold subscription at Christmas which meant I needed a Live email address, one to use just for xbox that I wouldn't do anything else with, that I have never logged into from anywhere other than the eggbox.

So...when we got our new xbox upstairs and I tried to recover my GT to the new machine, I couldn't remember my email address. Luckily for me, I could just go downstairs and switch the other xbox on to see what my account information was. It still took me all day though because I was too lazy to do that right away.

Tried that at work (emails going back to about 2005) but couldn't find anything appropriate. I did find one email about it but that was for a fake account I did to have a month of Gold I think. But never mind.

What are you now, then?

Currently I'm 'RippingDrake' something or other. Until I change it to DerekFME again or something.
