Rules:
Each match should last for 3 minutes, except where specified.
The pitch type will be set to random.
You may pick any team within the Custom Teams set, as long as your opponent agrees.
In the group stages, you will get 3 points for a win; 1 for a draw; 0 for a defeat.
In the group stages, every team will play each other once. This means each team will play three matches.
In the event of a tie for 1st and 2nd place in the groups, the position will be decided by: 1) goal difference; 2) goals scored; 3) result against each other; 4) coin toss.

Once all group matches have been played, the top two from each group will go through to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be seeded so that the group winners do not play each other. The semi-finals will be two-legged knock-out affairs with the winner being the team with the most goals on aggregate. Away goals do not count. If both teams are level after two legs then a one-off game is replayed until there is a positive result (this is due to there not being an option of setting extra time and penalties in SWOS friendlies).
The two semi-final winners will play a five (5) minute final.

It is the joint responsibility of each player to organise their match. If you cannot contact your opponent within the allotted timeframe, please post in this thread to make the administrator aware. Both parties are required to ask for special dispensation to play the match outside of the designated window. If this does not happen then the game is awarded 5-0 to the player who has attempted to play the match in a timely fashion. If neither player makes the administrator aware they are having difficulty organising their match, the game will be deemed a 0-0 draw.

You may have as many warm-up games as you wish, but you must agree with your opponent before starting the official Cup match. If you cannot communicate with your opponent, the first game you play is deemed to be the official cup game.

Playerlist (Gamertag):

TheVision (TheXboxVision)
Runcle
Craig (Mister Cloud)

Alberto (TH34LB1N0K1D)

Group A:

Alberto

Group B:
Ramsea
Craig
TheVision
myoptikakaka

Fixtures - Round 1:

I thought it was mentioned in the Words With Friends thread. Apologies if someone's already decided to run one, though.

I'm about to move house, which will result in no TV or internet for a while.

WHY MUST YOU DO THIS? Everytime I have the chance to best you all at SWOS, something bad happens.

Bumpity bump. We currently have six players, so this could be a short one unless we get some more signups...

Whoops, totally forgot about my own deadline. Ramsea and Alberto agreed to join in Xbox Live messages, so we'll have a tournament of eight. First round will be two groups of four, with the top two from each group going through to two-legged semi-finals. The final will be one-off five minute match.

Rules below:
Quote:
Each match should last for 3 minutes, except where specified.
The pitch type will be set to random.
You may pick any team within the Custom Teams set, as long as your opponent agrees.
In the group stages, you will get 3 points for a win; 1 for a draw; 0 for a defeat.

If this does not happen then the game is awarded 5-0 to the player who has attempted to play the match in a timely fashion. I'll probably do the draw and put the first lot of fixtures up this week, but because of the BHs I probably won't expect the matches to be played until the end of next week.

Fuck, completely forgot about this due to the stupid BHs. I'll make the draw and post the first set of fixtures up tonight.

It'll still be finished before the Words with Friends and Street Fighter IV tournaments though. :)

I think we did about two years ago, but it hasn't finished yet. And no, I'm still pretty terrible. I've managed to do the first 9 levels on Ryu's Trial and complete the Arcade mode on Easy. Medium I keep getting stuck on. :(

You have one more week to get your first round matches played - don't leave it to the last minute, you scamps!

Vision: I should be around tonight if you want to give ours a whirl.

I shall do my best but I've got a ton of stuff to do around the house first. I'll see what I can do though, I'm eager to play!

I'm not sure I'll be able to play tonight. I've got band practise tonight, I could possibly play when I get back but it would be fairly late, after 11 anyway.

Runcle, I have an exam in the morning - I should be fully failed and at home by around 2/3 PM. I'm free to play any time for the rest of the day/night, apart from between 7 and 8 PM when I'm playing actual real footy!

myoptikakaka (Forumites) 0-1 TheVision (Emotion Overkill)

An incredibly close game, with TheVision just shading the first half and managing to hit a diagonal shot across the goal into the back of the net. I came back in the 2nd half and had some excellent chances, but just couldn't get the ball across the line.

Good game Vision, arse-clenchingly close!
