As I predicted, they are climbing down on that EULA.

Well 12 seconds in I'm slightly annoyed.

It needs a single close tab button, anyone know how to get 1?

My FF3 is beta, if that's what you mean.

I've just noticed that Chrome was set to display and spellcheck in dirty american "english".

I have cleansed it and suggest you do the same

(Options > Under The Hood > Web Content > Language and Spellchecker Settings)

P.S. When you change to 'British', "Under the Hood" becomes "Under the Bonnet". Nice touch

I have been using chrome for a while now, the only thing I really like about it is being able to search from the address bar. The startup time isn't significantly faster than anything else I have used.

Mine is already under the bonnet, without intervention. Maybe you're just a mong?

Heh, I hadn't noticed the "under the bonnet" thing before.

Whilst we're on the subject of Google Easter Eggs, head to GMail and compose a new message to yourself or anyone. Name it what you want and in the body text, type "I've attached" or "find attached". Then try to send the email.

Is that an easter egg, or just helpful warning text?
I get the same thing when sending e-mails without subjects.

Well I suppose it's a helpful Easter egg!

On the topic of easter eggs (but slightly off topic overall), have you seen the Santa hat in VLC?

That used to be a labs option, but now it's there for everybody.
It's a very good thing.

"Undo Mail" is a feature that's still in labs that is well worth having.

Nerds might enjoy this chapter about Chrome from a book about... Er... I don't know what the rest of the book is about, actually.

Also, the start of this thread makes for some interesting reading :)

I've gone back to Firefox in the last couple of months.

I can't present any real evidence or stats or facts, but Firefox just 'feels' better than it did a little while ago and Chrome doesn't 'feel' as good as it did.

Very unscientific I know :D

I can't be doing without the console and all the other hunks of loveliness that appear when you hit F12. It's a thing of beauty.

I love the few pages of this thread. I don't think I've ever hated Chrome. Saying that it does seem quite resource hungry (looking at the Task Manger, although I do have 20 tabs open) although it does appear to have much on an impact anything else running.

Shift + Esc gives you Chrome's resource manager, so you can identify bad pages.

Awesomes. TBH I didn't know about the fact you can change the Spell Checker language. I was getting very annoyed with color/colour.
