My store sells a particular scented candle that (to my addled grown-up mind, anyway) smells exactly like some sweets I used to eat when I was a kid. For the life of me I can't remember what they hell they were called and it's driving me round the twist. Obviously, being in Canada, I can't just pop down the shops and have a look on the shelves (although I don't even know if these particular sweets are still being made) so I've turned to the Glorious Hivemind Collective for your thoughts and guidance.
The sweeties in question were chewy, square, and came in packs. They were fruit-flavoured. They were not Chewits or Opal Fruits, but something else very similar that sat beside them on the sweet shop shelves.

It's driving me mad. Help me.

Strawberry, I think. The candle is dragonfruit, but I'm pretty certain Fruitella didn't come in that flavour!

They did, special edition one year, dragon fruit, elderberry and despair.

My favourite candle is one that smells of Parma Violets. I could just eat it, it makes the whole room smell of them.

Get some of that violet turkish delight. I like it more than the normal rose stuff & that's saying something.

From the Fruittella Wikipedia page...
Quote:
The company kept the name Fruittella despite the fact that chocolate is not a fruit[citation needed]

You heard it here first, folks - chocolate can still be part of your 5-a-day until Wikipedia receives definitive proof otherwise.
