"iThing" gngh. Am I the only person who hates that term? It sounds horrible, propagates Apple's i-whatever naming scheme even wider than they've done so themselves, and it's inaccurate to boot (because iMacs exist). "iOS device" is far preferable to my ears.

I like it, and it's suitably friendly for certain kinds of site. It was J Nash that started using it on PG, and neither myself nor ex-PG Stu were sure, but it ended up becoming the generic term.

Well I think it's ace. And I hope it all works out well for Stu. I would there to be a way for Stu to self publish and make some money, and this looks like a step towards it.

I think most people's comments aren't based on old forum stuff, but rather on what happened with Podgamer a month or so ago.

I believe Stu himself knew who was behind it. I would imagine that he contacted the police, as that site clearly constituted stalking/harassment, but obviously that's just speculation on my part. I don't think he ever talked about the details in public, which is probably a good idea as the kind of warped lunatic mind needed to make a site like that is the same kind that thrives on attention.

I think I've just caught up on what you're talking about... I saw that blog once and found it to be unfunny and quite sinister. I wouldn't have liked something like that to be about me.

It wasn't just a one-off rant, either; it was clearly someone who was obsessively following his movements online and commenting on every little thing, and who had clearly been doing so for several years. I'd be surprised if the person behind it wasn't a grade 3 mentalist. I doubt Stu is thin skinned enough for it to worry him, but it'd certainly constitute harassment, and telling the police would have been a good way to put an end to it.

Again, all speculation, so I am fully prepared to be corrected. Although I stand by the "probably a bit of a nutter" line.
