One of the best indie games is MotorHEAT. It's just completely wonderful. The perfect driving game.

I've noticed Lewie seems to spend his entire life playing Super Meat Boy. So much so that he has stoked my curiosity.

I've been playing a lot of the monster truck game that Redlynx had something to do with (of Trials fame) and it's hellafun.

SUPER MEAT BOY!

If you're basing that on my Steam profile though, I did have it running in the background for about 3 days whilst trying to unlock something (and quitting set you back to the beginning of the set of levels).

I said it in the XBLA Thread but it's worth repeating.

Ian Fairies wrote:
I'm recommending Indie shooter Prismastic Solid. Freaking ace bullet hell score attack game for a measly 80msp.

Oh and Crossfire 2 which is a corking space invaders thingy.

And Zombies 8 My Cookie. Although you can't play over xbox live which is a massive annoyance and needs to be patched ASAP.

I'd add "Soul" to that list too. That was fantastic for one evening. Even that Avatar Racer thingy was quite good fun but I'm too tight to shell out a few quid to play multiplayer since I doubt anyone in the world has it or is playing it.

And I even got a bit of excitement from A Madman's Guide To Happiness, since it was so weird I wanted to know how it ended. I especially liked the rhyme about cutting your wrists, if anyones had a look. Probably worth the 80pence just for the novalty.

Anyone played the Decayed series? They seemed a bit expensive but its a dark point and click game that peaked my interest.

To be fair, I have put probably over 50 hours into it across the 360 and PC version.

Oh, Cthulu Save the World is a bloody great JRPG on the XBLIG. It's funny, and incredo-fast paced. It'll probably ruin all other JRPGs for you though.

From the makers of Breath of Death 7: The Beginning, wot Rab loved.

In fact, I'm sure they made this game in the amount of time it takes for some JRPGs cut scenes to finish.

Shatter is a really nice Breakout/Arkanoid game for PC and PSN. The soundtrack is genuinely great, too.

-Groov (Gash Wars, but not shit... oooh, controversial)
-Solar (universe 'em up)

computer ones to come later...

Agreed, it's excellent. It's basically a simple "dodge the traffic" game (with some power-ups and a turbo boost) but it's really well made, looks nice, has ultra-smooth controls & is extremely addictive.

Also, Gravitron, Apple Jack (lovely retro platform / puzzle game with 100 levels), and pretty much anything made by Radiangames (Crossfire 2, Fluid, Inferno etc.) are all bargains at 80 MS points each.

Dock 'Em looked good but was 240M$P or something. I think it might be 80 now.

Groov is sort of lovely but is ruined when you realise that

you can hide in a corner and easily beat whatever the game throws at you

I don't like GW1 at all but GW2 is perfection

I want to love Solar. I bought it right away but never really got anywhere with it.

That doesn't seem to work in the EXTREME REMIX mode or whatever it's called, when you have those enemy ships that can go outside the playing area. And also those orange 'horn section' enemies that can appear inside you.

It's a good game, yes. Quite short to play through, but it doesn't overstay it's welcome either, and inventively adds a new twist to a old games design.

That looks great too. Man, does that mean I'll have to boot up the PS3 before Last Guardian comes out? Say it ain't so.

Very much :this: except it plays havoc with my surround sound.. it keeps making it cut out on the big explosions.

How odd.

Ah, I'm just on stereo with it but I might ditch the rawk soundtrack altogether.

The game has to be applauded for putting so many bullets on the screen but still making it clear what's going on.

A MotorHEAT style leaderboard would make it perfect.

Same for me. Has to be a bug I think. How is your 360 wired up? Mine's HDMI to the amp.
