I for one have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of ChinnyHill's posts over the last 12 months and his knowledge on things like DVD case suppliers has been very handy in the past.

I especially liked the post about the sitcoms that were terrible.

So who else wishes to join the Chinnyhill appreciation society?

Someone (quite wrongly) called him Dudley, and he (quite rightly) fucked off.

Huh? He made a couple of posts after all that anyway. Has he actually told anyone he's flounced? What's the point in flouncing if you don't announce it?

I don't know if Bobbyaro is being serious or not so I don't really like that post.

But just in case you're being serious Bobbyaro, which I presume you are really, I created this thread as I had intended for a while to say that I find Chinny's posts often very interesting. And he's helped me out with a few things on occasion. I think it's nice to say that you appreciate someone, right?

Some of the posts in this thread are playfully teasing Chinnyhill but I think overall people aren't intending any nastiness to chinny.

Here's some nice CPC porn:

I wasn't sure if Nirejhenge and Chinny were/are close or not as I rarely pick up on such things, but I think it is like the 'where are they now' thread. Someone will come along and say 'lol, yeah, very funny, sure you want X back', then someone else will say 'what, he rage quit because of _______?,What a loser, man up' blah-di-blah and it all turns sour and it all turns a bit bitchy. I don't think Nirejhenge was being malicious, but often someone will seize the opportunity to draw attention to their own personal agenda, like in that other thread.

I like Chinny. I don't know why (or even if) he has actually gone. Honestly, I don't care why unless it is something I have done, and if it was then I'd hope whoever had a problem would PM me so w could sort it out over coffee and stroopwafles.

I hope he comes back if he wants to.

Exactly. This is the first working day since then.

Maybe Chinny just has a better social life than the rest of us saddoes.

(Not me, but I am ill, and so confined to sofa-surfing)

So he hasn't posted all year? Oh no, where's he gone?
At this point, I wish to point out that I love Chinny very much. He's one of the only people on here that's still a mystery to me.

I've rarely had much contact with Chinny but I liked what he had to say. Mainly because most of it was from the 80s. I also respected that he knew what he was talking about on some of the technicalities of video production and what not.

Oh and no one could ever get upset with you Mimi. Unless of course they are Scottish and live in a world of their own...

I hope Chinny hasn't left for good. I had hoped for more exciting posts from him over the next year.

Am I not a mystery to you then Joans? Bah, I'd hoped to achieve that man of mystery air as well. I mean it's not like I'm forever plugging my own podcasts, websites, involvement in various other things.

I'm afraid that I have just eaten the last stroopwafle, warmed over my coffee, so we shall have to either remain at war or make it up over the very much less-special-than-expected 'chocolate sundaes' from Marks & Spencer.

They looked all nice in their little box, and with a name like 'chocolate sundaes' they must be super-luxurious, yes?

They are basically Viscount biscuits, but just boring chocolate, not mint or orange, and a bit dry.

Also, can't drink any more coffee or will never sleep, so will have to be a mint tea.
