Heating oil prices are now beyond a joke, obviously some major profiteering going on somewhere down the line.

Look at this price graph:

http://www.boilerjuice.com/heatingOilPrices.php

Heating Oil prices have nearly DOUBLED since late November.

So, which fuckers are the real greedy cunts in the chain?

Blooming 'eck, that's bad.

I can't find the wholesale prices for kerosene at all - have they shot up or is it just price gouging?

It's basically price gouging.

Look at the two graphs on this page comparing heating oil prices to crude oil prices:

Oh yes, and here's a recent statement of pathetic excuses from the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers:

Cunts.

I'm guessing you ( or someone you know ) is now stuck with a heating bill double what they expected. That's pretty crappy. It's a bit like domestic gas supplies - the market should bring prices down, but it's best for everyone if no one tries to undercut anyone else.

Me and a few other people I know are enduring the greed exhibited by certain parties, along with a great many others around the country.

I'm in the same boat. ~40p when I last ordered in Oct, I've got a reasonble supply
left but got paniced by my mum with tales of 3 week lead times a few days ago. Price now? just under 70p.

Candles: Where do you live & what are you paying?

My local pub was complaining about this recently. She rang the suppliers to ask what the fuck was going on, only to be told prices had risen because it was cold.

In fairness, I bet she marks up her Coke more than they mark up the fuel, by quite a long way.

Probably, aye, but I can't imagine her getting away with raising prices in the summer when people are thirstier.
