I just looked out of the train window and there's snow everywhere, which there wasn't a few miles ago. Is there any in London?

Snowing hard in Cardiff right now. About 5cm. Supervisor came round, apparently JUST enough people turned up for us to open. Bah. Want to be outside, taking pics.

It snowed last night and I managed to lose control of the car again after dropping Zioette off at her mum's. Someone really needs to fucking grit the roads around where she lives, they're always horrendous and I've lost traction numerous times on the same bit of road whenever it's winter. How the fuck I didn't hit one of the many parked cars along that road I don't know, being as I went down the road sideways and in a zig zag route.

I could not possibly have been driving more carefully!

Kalmar may have a point with the wide, low-profile motorway tyres though.

I believe Michael Fish would call it 'a fucking good dose of snoes' here in Cardiff. A tidy pile of about 4 inches sat on top of the car this morning.

Hacked to work along the M4 for an hour and a half, spent an hour in work and then they closed the office so an hour and a half home again. Not many of my colleagues made it in, mostly being Valley Types who were sat under a good foot or so. M4 was clear in most places, some bits worse than others but generally clear and good for 60mph. Worst bit is Cardiff city centre, which as ever is filled with fuckwits and taxi drivers who still continue to drive like utter cunts.

Am now going to brave the elements to clean the snow off the conservatory roof before it caves in, then a nice pot of tea and some TV working from home.

Someone at work picked up the phone. They spoke for a couple of minutes. When they put the phone down, everything was covered with snow (outside, obv). This is brilliant! I was sad yesterday when it snowed massive flakes like I'd never seen this side of christmas in london, but because it had been raining it didn't settle.

Today, though, woo! Snows!

We've had about an hour of pretty heavy snow so far but it appears to be falling more lightly now.

Just had a quick half an inch, sufficent to make the roads slippy and slidy enough to be able to spin the wheels in 2nd gear at 5mph. Homebase car park was excellent fun, though.

Heaviest snow in my five year Cardiff experience today. It just keeps coming down. Net result, the email has gone out that all council workplaces are to shut at four. Hurrah! An hour off work!

Looking out, I think we've got just over 8-10cm in the town centre, maybe 20cm on the hills.

It took me 15 minutes to do a mile because of all the "Oh Noes, snow" London types with their pretentious snotbag kids, and their shitty four-by-fours which they appear to not know how to drive!

Having been in a car with you*, I can assure you it isn't. 35mph on the M1 because there is some snow on the hardshoulder.

Nick, it took me fucking ages to get home last night, all the snow delayed/stopped flights.

We'd cleared all the leaves a few weeks back. Imagine my horror to find that an equal amount of leaves to last time had somehow fallen yesterday.

Odd year. In the depths of the snow I was taking video/photos up on the New Forest and noticed one oak tree looked like it was still September! The trees near us had lost most of their leaves, or so I thought. WRONG! They all came down at once.

Am going to borrow a leaf blower as Chinny acres has alot of area to cover and a lorra lorra leaves.

I believe that would be a 6 on the lolbadidea scale.

Check with heathrow if you are flying they had runways closed, on the plus side if you are not flying it will be nice and quiet.

Stuck on a train on my way into work (local roads have barely been touched) and the weight of snow has caused a tree to fall onto the platform of the next station. The driver of the train in front is refusing to go past it but my friend already in work says from CCTV the tree wouldn't interfere with it getting past.

The conductor has just made an announcement lying that the tree is on the track and that it's Network Rail's fault.
