I'm not sure when the next time will be, my schedule is likely to be full though the middle or end of next week is a possibility depending on my hours (spare days which might be determined at the last minute).

I had none of those 500 'do random stuff' thingies, and will probably never get any of them again.

If it's flagged up ahead of time as being for cheevos then no probs, but the best bit for me was when we had that race along the interstate, but that was only one event.

Really? I think the best thing about Burny Pee is the list of 500 crazy things to go and do, as opposed to just races like every other car game.

I quite liked the quirky nature of the challenges (the 25 or so of the 500 that I saw), but seriously, doing all of them? That's a terrifying prospect, that's the kind of time that you may as well sink into WoW or something.

It's no chore if you're doing it in groups of bezzies.

It's no chore. When you have a full game of bezzies, you're getting drunker and drunker waiting for myp or kalmar to finally barrel roll through the red fuselage, Zarzie is talking about colostomy gash... you'll wish it would never end.

Oh. I was just thinking I might actually play this, but it was three days ago. Ho hum.

I've done most of them about 10 times. It's a game to play while having a giggle.

Playing this after having played NFS Hot Pursuit made me fully realize just how an amazingly well crafted a game Burnout Paradise really is. It's so well made, in fact, that I am almost thinking it unlikely we will ever see another arcade driving game getting so many things right.

So I went and finally bought the Island. I don't know why I didn't do it a long time ago, because it's ace. I guess I was waiting in vain for it to go on offer. No doubt it will do so next week.

They are clever bastards, though. Some of the cars you win are toy versions of the legendary cars. Now I want to buy both the legendary cars and the toy cars.

The island was an excellent idea in that it was a smaller target to try to collect all the achievements for, in the main game this is fairly daunting.
The bezzie challenges are about having a laugh, with a side benefit of ticking some things off a list.
It's a good idea, as once you are used to the game and the map, there's only so much "free burning" you can do before it gets boring.

I return to Paradise City regularly, sometimes just to cruise around, sometimes to check a few more wins in pursuit of my next license. I haven't done all the billboards yet either.

That's the best bit.
