I've just had an email about Xbox rewards. I'd heard a rumour about it but it looks like it's finally gone live.

The screenshot below shows you what Microsoft will give you back for doing various things. It's not exactly money for nothing, but it's something at least. For the majority of us I expect we'll earn the extra 200 points per year by resubbing our live.

Could they have been more generous? Probably.. but I'm bound to say that. ;)

I've been looking at getting the family pack for myself, my brother and our respective wives. I wonder if it's worth signing up for this first...

You get a free 400 points and all you have to do is click on the email they send you... seems a no brainer really, unless you need the family pack in a hurry? I think they're still setting up the rewards.

You'd like Nintendo's Star Rewards scheme.

Did I ever tell you that Nintendo stole my Star Points? Well, they fucking well did and I had thousands.

I'm pretty sure that's more of a "floumph" than a "blam".

Especially seeing as he has a massive question mark at the end of the title.

I now have an image of Dimrill gracefully ice-skating at high speed followed in line by a troupe of ice-skating guineapigs. Whilst Zardoz sets up his tripod.

That drawing/scan above is ace. :DD

Also I've just had an email about this Rewards thing, and have signed up, since it just appears you do your normal Xbox-ing stuff and don't have to do anything special.

Check your account on Xbox.com. I found I had a defunct email address in there.

I wonder if since my xbox is a UK one and I signed up in the UK will I be able to reward. Or not?

If you try they will hunt you down. They will find you. And they will make you pay.*

*Dunno. You might get away with it, I suppose.

If you log on to live.xbox.com it passes you into the rewards sign up the first time you do so.
