The trailer looks good. Assuming it's GTA/RDR stylee, colour me very interested indeed. Which reminds me, I need to go back and play RDR - I only got to Mexico!

I commented on twitter that I thought it looked good, but I'd like to see in game footage.

Then one of the animators replied telling me it was in game.

I'm still fairly sure it is not in game, although obviously it is in engine.

That's Ken from Mad Men.

The lip syncing is very nice.

I spoke to a journo who played this earlier in the year, and he was very excited for it. He said you have to do proper detective style investigation and stuff. Like looking around places for evidence.

Those are my thoughts.

The acronym for this game is LANE.

It looks pretty nice, but it has a tough act to follow with the Mafia series.

It also has the slight concerns raised by RDR, of a tedious story that takes too long to go anywhere.

It is being developed by a totally different team to RDR and GTA though. In Australia. So barring the engine and possibly the GTA/RDR "style" of open world stuff, it could go in any direction.

I would say don't expect some kind of all-action shooter like GTA. This sounds like it might be more like the start of Fahrenheit, but better. I'm very interested.

Sunny LANE!

Sorry.

I get the feeling it'll still be very much like GTA IV. A big map of LA circa 1950, you drive to highlighted spots on the map to 'investigate' or 'interrogate'.

If they manage to capture some of the 'be a real cop' side of things like Police Quest did (and I don't mean the tedium, I mean the interactions back at the station, or the numerous side-crimes you dealt with along the way) then I and Dimrill will be very happy.

That's a bit Exorcist, like.

And not in a good way.
