It's the time of year when I've been asked to make a list of what I want for Christmas presents. As I normally struggle to get more than a couple of ideas I thought I'd ask what everyone else wants, and see if I can't get any ideas.

So what does everyone want for Christmas? Bonus points if you also post tempting pics.

Boring old Jessops vouchers. I have £250 worth of them saved-up to date. I am in the market for a new DSLR so it will go towards it.

I've asked for a ps3 move kit from the gf, on the basis that I'm interested in giving it a try, but it's something I would never buy for myself

I'd like to (hypothetically) buy my girlfriend a MacBook Air for Christmas (if I could afford it). She needs a lighter computer to take with her to university for the two days a week she needs one, and her '08 MacBook is cracking and falling apart.

Not sure what I'd like. Well, I do, but it's stuff that would be unfeasible to ask for because of the price, so I'll have to think of some smaller-scale things. Still, I wouldn't have minded a 3DS had they been released this side of Christmas.

Are there any games out between now and Christmas?

Hmm, anything games related is what I usually ask for. I'm tempted to ask for a PS3 this year, but it would really only be because I'm an insane completionist. I could see it getting as much use as the Wii to be honest.
Apart from that - maybe an electric shaver or beard trimmer, and probably some books on my topics of interest (polar exploration, military history and, yes, video games).

Wouldn't mind a tripod, probably one of those Calumet ones that DBSnappa mentioned, nothing too pricey.

Could do with a new watch as mine all have different things wrong with them.

I need a phone too actually as mine went in the wash today.

I just want my Doctor Who episode, and for the entirety of the rest of it to not happen.

It's the same every year. Because I like to bargain hunt for games, I tend to buy them myself leaving me to be bought clothes and things for Christmas. Lame... last Christmas was saved by mom and dad buying me a radio control Davros.

Letters to Monica by Philip Larkin. Was book of the week on R4 last week and I thought it was bloody brilliant. The fact that he talks about my local area with such accurate disdain is an added bonus.

HC's extant family to be taken out in a meteor strike. I think she'd probably like the same.

I would be pleasing to have, a Kindle, a mixing bowl, some cake tins (storing, not baking) bedding, new carpet for my boudoir and a whole day to myself where I don't have to do anything.

I'd quite like an assortment of excellent hats. And maybe a watch.

I'd like a less harsh winter than last year and for the coalition to collapse.


Item wise, I'm not that materially poor and have plenty of games I've not played.


Ok yes, I'd love a 42 inch TV, but that'll have to wait until I have some money.

I just sold a 46" Sony Bravia for £330.

I would like, um, a pay rise. Failing that, a new bag.

Ill be hopefuly receiving some new pots and pans as my tefals have succombed to my lack of care since I got them to go to university with. Non stick has been forever lost.

Additionally I would like Inception BluRay, maybe some clothes but not sure what.
Otherwise im at that age now where I pretty much have everything within reason, and anything big that I want is too big for others to get for me, so I buy it myself.

I should buy myself a proper bag for work, rather than just using a carrier bag.

I bought some swiss rucksack thingy from costco, which is very good if you need to carry a laptop around.

I th GF has got me a new laptop bag... very snazzy and I want to use it now..

i am using one of those now, it is good, just a bit big as I don't have to carry two laptops round now

TJ Maxx are running deals on those Victorinox bags too. The Egg has a nice one.

I think I want Goldeneye on the Wii for Christmas... but I don't think it's fair that I should wait that long. I might get it soon.

One of the benfits of being a grown-up! The flimsea jnrs are getting codblops on the ps3 for Christmas and until then they can watch me play it on my xbox :-P hahaha! In your face, get a job losers lolz
