Hurrah! Melton Mowbray pork pies have now been awarded Protected Geographical Status.

If you could protect one foodstuff from cheap imitations, what would it be?

I couldn't chose one.
I'd protect all our farmers produce from cheap crap that's being imported.

Surely it's not so much about protecting the food as it is protecting the producers? Which is admirable in itself, of course.
