The Arran distillery is called Lochranza. The blend ics called Lochranza. Maybe that is what is confusing you Gilly?

For presents recently I have just been buying my brother expensive bottles of fancy whisky.

I think his favourtie was the Talisker 18yo Distiller's Edition. He said it was 'The greatest present he'd ever received'.

I recommend the Hook Norton Brewery tour. Most excellent and informative. Their beer, Flagship, is v. good, too. But I'm still a Bitter man.

Thank you very much. It's not strictly a job offer, but a "come in and skivvy for us and do some photocopying so you can write it on your CV" offer, but it's all good experience.

For some reason, I find this post very amusing.

Someone actually pooped in front of my old manager, while he was cycling to work. Like, the dude stank massively all of a sudden, then shook it out of his trackie bottoms.

Hi chucks.

Uncle came back to the UK yesterday so I have travelled back to Lancaster. Have managed to set up a key-safe and finally mother has taken up the baton, but this is because she is scared that uncle will berate her, bwah ha ha. Slightly (I was going to say annoyed, but it is more confused) that Nan is up and about, even dressed, now that David is back on the scene and she is scared that if she doesn't try he'll have her in a home before teh weekend is out, so she's been walking around a bit by herself. Considering I was breaking my back carrying her around, the change is quite remarkable. I am a little upset, I guess, that she would not try for me. In fact, she put on that she could not even lift her hand to her mouth to eat the day before I left. It's not that she wouldn't try - she made out that she was far more helpless than she is.

I think that other people are going to have to try and do their bit for a while, because as soon as I had a day away from it I have come down with full-blown 'flu. I've had a bad cold for two weeks, which I caught off nan, but the minute my body had even a few hours to relax I've just come down with a hard bug. Poop. Still, it is the weekend and I am going to try and relax. I have vitamin C.

Oh, and d you remember when I was mugged, oh, what was it - a year and a bit (?) ago? Then my replacement card was stolen in the post? Then my account emptied and my next card was also stolen, etc... Well they've finally, after all the letters to the bank and me more or less resigning myself to the fact that I was going to have to get some kind of legal clout on my side to ever get it back, sent a new card.

:boots:

It would be, but I'm tired and run down to my last 3%. 'Attention - you are now running on reserve battery power' as my complicator would say, so though I feel slightly confused as to the motivation , which I started to sense whenever a meical professional would visit, I am mostly jus relieved to be able to get more than 3 hours sleep for a bit. :)

If it's still on iplayer check out The Young Ones documentry that was on tv a few weeks ago. Fascinating stuff about the care of older people and how they actually do better if they do more themselves.

After work on a Friday, a few of us always go to the local pub for a few pints. Last night we were there long enough to catch one of the bands warming up and doing a couple of songs. They weren't bad - the lead singer was a little hard to hear over the others, but the lead guitarist was good.

Didn't realise till today that the guitarist was Neil Buchanan. I like how they use his Art Attack past on the flyers...

I spent part of last night in a bed and breakfast. The other part of it I spent getting the fuck out of said bed and breakfast at 2am and casting fearful glances over my shoulder almost all the way home. Staying alone in a place where you not only don't meet anyone, but aren't asked for payment or even a name is creepy. Finding that all the doors are locked except the one to the garden is very creepy. Seeing the door handle turn late at night, then turn back when you call out is fucking creepy. Hearing some lunatic cultist-like chanting outside your door at ten to two in the morning was enough to get me putting my shoes on and running like hell.

Awful, awful night. I'm just glad I didn't fall asleep, fuck knows what would have happened.

Hi ho, hi ho,
It's off to work experience
I go.

I'm quite apprehensive over this, for some reason, but at least it is a day out.

Weekend was good. I saw the BBC TV centre and drank hobgoblin and Tribute with the Men whilst MrsA and The Girls went to Portbello Market and then I got to play RedDeadRedemption on sunday. It's quite good.

Just been reading about the latest Simpsons episode, with an intro by Banksy.

I liked one of the Youtube comments (for a change) -

Quote:
I love all the people going "Duh, this isn't what it's really like in Asia! This is BIAST PROPERGANDERZZZZ!!!!11!" Yes, I am broadly aware that DVDs are not made using unicorns, thanks.

Also on the BBC site, this story made me wince. On a lighter note, inflatable tanks!

Why not order a normal card from somewhere in the UK and give one of our addresses as the delivery adderess, then we can scratch the card for you and text or email you the code?
