Anyone else played the demo of this? I found it strangely compelling despite barely knowing what was going on most of the time.
'Okay, we're hugging on the ground... oh, he's hugging me in a different way, now I've attempted a triangle choke. oh I win!' can't be distinguished from 'Okay, we're hugging on the ground... oh, he's hugging me in a different way, now he's punched my head in. Oh I lose!' when I'm playing.

Yeah I actually quit out of the demo half way through my first and only match as we hugged on the ground for probably the fifteenth time. I just couldn't fathom it and couldn't be arsed to dig any deeper. I feel the same way about the other UFC game, which I bought (the 2009 edition) and then traded in on the same day. Guess it's just not for me. I like watching the sport, though.
Edit: According to one of my friends who's into this sort of thing, the EA MMA is hateful at first compared to UFC 20XX, but then it becomes apparent that it's much more technical and deep than the more arcadey UFC titles. "They're both good." It's like FIFA and PES all over again.
