Halo Night - Every Tuesday from 8PM

If you're new round here or you've stumbled upon the forum from the wider internet, we'd love to play games with you - gamertags are located in user profiles, so add us up and join in the fun.

Please don't be afraid to ask for an invite on the night or jump in if you can - if you don't get an invite whilst we're all playing, don't take it personally, we've probably forgotten due to all of the exciting fun times - just send anyone involved a message for an invite or just join our group - the more the merrier.

Remember - Halo only allows up to 16 people in a Custom lobby. Surprisingly, we managed to fill this up for Halo Night 1, so try to be early to avoid missing out. People do drop out as the night goes on, though, so you'll almost certainly get to join in later on regardless. Again, it's nothing personal if you can't get in, it's just the way it is.

I support the idea of a weekly regular night. And Tuesdays are fine for me, as are any weeknight really.

(Arguably the poll needs a "any night Mon-Thu" option, but don't go changing it now just for that.)

As usual, Tues is the best day for me, but can do any day.

I don't really see the weekend (including friday) as really being that likely to set up a well enough attended weekly event.

Tuesdays would usually be fine for me I would think. Pretty much any night would be alright but I would be happy to arrange a Tuesday for big MP games.
As for modes...so far I have been loving the craziness of headhunter and infection.

Ah sheeit, yeah I should've counted Friday as the weekend really. Nevermind!

And it looks as though Tuesday is running away with it at the moment, which is fine by me (and seemingly everyone else). We'll wait for everyone to have their say though!

Just a reminder - if you find any maps or game modes that you want us to try out, press start and head into your local files section, find the map or game mode and press X. Then upload it to your fileshare from the options menu and whoever is hosting the custom games lobby can download that game mode or map and select it so we can all play it.

Oh! Also also, if anything particularly hilarious happens during the night, make sure you save the footage from your temporary history to your HDD. Then if you upload the clip to your fileshare, I'll render it and upload it to YouTube for all to see. I seem to have 30-odd minutes of rendering time in my Bungie Pro account all of a sudden. I only had five the other day... Anyway, upload clips to your fileshare!

Good call! I've got a few possibly decent maps at the ready to try out as well, though we might be alright with the defaults for our first session seeing as most maps I've tested tend not to work with all of the game modes we'll be wanting to play.

I've decided to keep the game rather than trade it in so yeah I'll give the multiplayer a good go. I'd be up for a run through the campaign on legendary if anyone fancies that too.

The mainstays of the H3 nights were Rocket race (naturally), Swords, Hammers, Armoury infection (Zombies trying to get into a well guarded armoury, while requesting pounds for shoes) and shotguns/snipers (although I didn't much like that)

with the occasional grannies house golden gun.

Ah, Rocket Race. Have you looked in the game manual? Rocket Race is actually in there... Bungie mentioned they'd be adding it soon in the Weekly Update anyway.

And that bloody Armoury Infection! I sucked at that one :(

A word of warning: Legendary does get harder the more people play. With 3 or 4, you'll find groups of enemies that you need to make a concertedcooperative effort in order to take down. 3 people Ramboing around doesn't work.
