Hi,

I was wondering if there was a device suitable for kids that could act as an internet radio, and had dab/fm too as well as having an ipod dock (or other mp3 player if there is a generic interface) and the ability to play mp3s from either locally or off a pc.

Audio\speaker quality doesn't need to be amazing, but it would be nice if it was better than a clock radio, but ideally it needs to be about £50-£100

Does such a device exist? Any suggestions as to which ones are "best"?

Thanks

Malc

Why DAB?

iPhone with TuneinRadio works well for me.

And it's an alarm clock and iPod.

Admittedly it doesn't actually work as a clock radio yet.

I was going to suggest iPhone/iPod Touch with TuneIn Radio myself.

Probably a bit expensive to give to children, though.

Yeah, they all have them though :)

I'd say a used 2g is in that price range, and would do the job, but if it's a gift then I assume you want something new.

What I was hoping for was something an ipod (a nano or shuffle) or other cheaper mp3 player would dock into it to make it into a more versatile stereo system. As for why DAB? that's the first thing I would be willing to compromise on. But if it did have that functionality it would be great (purely as something that would work if there was no internet signal or whatever).

I guess a cheaper ipod touch might do it (I'll see what happens after the conference on September the 1st), but then it would still need something to dock into...

Yeah, looking for something as a Christmas Present really.
