So I did that there update for graphics cards this morning before I went out.

It needed to be restarted so I did.

But the progress bar stopped moving about a fifth long whilst claiming it was "writing files." After way over an hour and me really needing to leave I turned it off.

Seems to be working fine now, but what should I do now?

Ich Bin Stupid etc.

Check the firmware has upgraded in system profile, and if not run it again.

It's still there in the software update (along with a new security update). Do I just go again or do I need to purge the old failed update.

Many thanks dudes.

In the first instance, re-apply the update and see what happens.

Done. All went fine.

Just done another software check and those 2 items have left the update queue.

So is that the end of it?

Thanks again.

Bad Lave, you did it wrong.

What you should have done was (a) flash the bios and (b) add more LEDs.

Macs don't have a bios, they have a heart.

The Amiga 1200 was my first computer. Which could make me sound relatviely young. But it just means that I couldn't afford one for ages and ages -so had to play on my friends speccy/acorn/c64 etc
