Mac vs PC is a well-trodden path that rarely ends well. Also 360 vs PC. Also the correct cheese for burgers.

But I'm vegetarian. Anyhow I just wondered if anyone had anything useful for me that might make me think 'hmmmm, actually it was worth 30% apr after all'. At present it fires up iTunes really quick and I like iphoto but hardly earth shattering.

Anyway, I'm new here. I surely am entitled to this one? My next post is gonna be a question about whether people pop trump bubbles in the bath and sniff contents heartily.

I like them because they break less and look awesome. If it wasn't for macs there would be no Burt Tank.

My trump bubbles burst on their own, my question, that I've asked several times on here without reply is, why do they smell stronger when passed through water?

(a)Have a smug sense of superiority for having spent more than them on something which runs less software.
(b)Moan at windows developers for not making software for Macs.

iTunes runs far better on a Mac than a Windows PC. Flash runs far better on a Windows PC. Windows tends to get more viruses and other nasty stuff, but the Mac will get them if you don't watch out, so good malware protection is vital for both. There are more games for Windows too, although Mac games are more common now than they used to be (and Steam on the Mac helps).
Other than that, for 99% of the time, they're exactly the same - and that's something that a lot of people round these parts struggle to accept.

Macs are better at some things, PC's at others. I use Macs these days due to a software preference for work purposes.

However my Macs can do everything a PC can do + everything a Mac can do due to Bootcamp and Parallels. And that's just dandy. For example I can't get decent low cost teleprompt software for the Mac but I can for the PC. So i throw the laptop into XP in Parallels and run it there. You'd be surprised how many people are impressed you can just run Windows from an OSX desktop.

It's horses for courses. When I bought my emulation PC the best solution was the Acer Revo running Windows 7. I would have been a tool to go and get a Mac Mini.

Absolutely all of :this:

I've owned four different Macs since 2000, before ditching my last one, an Intel iMac, 2 years ago solely because I wanted to build my own PC. I figured the end result would be that I'd get to play a few more games on it, but my actual day-to-day usage would be exactly the same. And that's precisely what I got.

At the end of the day, Macs and PCs do exactly the same damn thing and usually with exactly the same software. The only real difference is that Apple's hardware is top-notch, but they charge a premium for it. Once upon a time I'd have probably said that Mac OS X was the superior OS, but since Windows 7 I don't even believe that anymore.

Is it more that they aren't having to pass through the fabric filter of pant and trou?

In the shower FTW, for the wetsound and the echo.

That will help, but the water seems to give them a much richer almost condensed stench. Filtration? Reaction? A mixture or neither? Is there no man of science around to hear our cries?

I always figured it was the bubble-bath in the water. That fart stench mixed with the soapy smells of the water creates an overpowering fragrance!

It happens in plain bath water too.

Maybe Cthulhu thinks we're trying to contact him and he blesses us with evil.

Macs are fantastic for the old 'turn it on, do what you have to and turn it off'.

They look lovely and they are built nicely.

There. I said it.

To be fair, I'm a shower everyday person. Haven't really done the whole bath thing since I was a kid with bottles of Matey bubble bath.
