Anyone interested in hammering this over the weekend?
Quote:
Last week, Epic Games executive producer Rod Fergusson made a tempting offer to Gearheads everywhere: The more followers he gained on Twitter, the more XP players would earn in Gears of War 2 multiplayer the weekend of Comic-Con. The results are in, and you guys did us proud—over 11,000 followers, which means an unprecedented 20 times the standard experience scores across all multiplayer modes! If that’s not enough, we’re shaking things up with a Boomer family reunion stampeding through every wave of Horde, plus some special guests on every 10th wave! The event kicks off July 22 at 12:30 PM EST and lasts through July 25 at 8:00 PM EST. Go boost your rank and enjoy the fruits of your labor with some Gears 2 mayhem.

Is that the same Myp who repeatedly turned down or ignored invites to the game for nearly a year, complained that it was never played, then suddenly decided to start playing it again? That Myp?

That sounds a pretty daft thing to do. So probably the same one, yes.

You were always too busy playing Leisure Suit Larry. I didn't want to disturb your games of new maps as you said you were incredibly bored with the shipped ones. I started playing again as soon as I bought the (heavily discounted) DLC pack.

Nice little game last night.. Sorry I didn't chat but the missus insisted on talking to me throughout.

Anyway, with those bonus XP points I've no doubt I'll be on as much as possible this weekend!

Cheers for the game last night, I'll try to be around as much as possible over the weekend (11.00pm onwards each night as usual, probably. At a pinch ;) )

Questions, questions, so many questions...
1) Am i likely to need the map packs (sorry not played for ages...)
2) It says my NAT is strict - is this a GOW 2 'thing' as i don't seem to have a problem with any other games.?
3) Looking at, i havent finished the story in co-op, so if anyone fancies that at some point....

It's alright - there's just an idle gear hidden behind the main one. That's what the third cog is for.

It's not limited to GoW2, unless it uses unusual ports you haven't got open. It may mean connection problems to certain other people.
