This has to be a wind up, along the lines of Orson Welles' War of the Worlds or the film Wag the Dog, surely?

Sam's just come downstairs;

Me: Gazza's gone in, with food and water for him - honest!
Joans: He (Sam) doesn't know who Gazza is!
Me: He does (then to Sam) Do you know who Gazza is?
Sam: Gazchap?
Me: :DD

I'm lying in bed having watched a film and realised I was missing something pretty special so I'm very pleased to discover I can watch sky news via the xbox in the bedroom. Wish I could get BBC news but this will do! This is such a weird news story. The people in that village must have been terrified all week and this has been a pretty serious situation but I don't want to see the guy killed by police. At the same time though, I really hope he wouldn't be treated like a hero in prisoner for shooting a police officer. Then, it all just gets hilarious with the addition of Gazza.

With the 'two coppers stood in the road' footage, occasionally showing 'live' simultaneously I've found sky to be showing stuff in their half-screen at least 15 minutes old. Currently more or less simultaneous with the BBC though.

Scratch that, seemed identical but BBC showed them letting another car through, Sky stood on the spot.

But who is lying about Live?

OMFG I just tuned in Sky again for a minute, it's now in NIGHT VISION, and the same guy is rambling on about the tale of a stolen tomato, and secret drains.

Shouldn't poor light stop play at some point?

We're not very good at these in Britain, are we.

The sniper dude in Virginia got a much higher score. I think he got a few headshot and payback bonuses though.

Some people are beyond stupid. At about 10-15 this morning, I had to drive into town to drop a tenner off for MrsA as none of the cash machines in bicester are working today, but the same yellow skoda had parked across my drive. So As I tried to move around it, the woman comes and moves it into the parking space over the road.

I needed to go to the shops and as I opened my front door, to my amazement, the car is back, blocking me in again. So I bang on the door of the house she's visiting and she parked there as "there wasn't space anywhere else".

Seriously, so why was Gazza there then? Shame they couldn't have shot him too, the horrible drunken oaf.

The whole thing has been a farce anyway. I could never take it seriously, since every night on the news that Chief Inspector (or whatever she was) officer would appear with the ludicrous hairstyle, and that was it, I was too busy laughing to pay any proper attention.

:D

I just put new batteries in my amp's remote. Half the buttons don't fucking work any more. Including the ones that let me configure which inputs use the optical audio ins. And only one has optical in configured. So for now I have to swap the PS3 and Airport cables if I want to switcheroo. Fucksake. >:(

I bet a Marantz spare costs a fortune.

Also, the only universal remote I want is the 1100, with PS3 doodad. Which is a £290 bundle at Amazon. Because I'm a massive idiot. I might try smashing the broken Marantz open to see if anything's obvious; annoyingly it's all internal clips holding it together.

As for Burning Pee, I have the PS3 version. Because I'm a massive idiot.

I first the whole Gazza intervention thing humoured me slightly. Well, more specifically the reaction of his agent humoured me.

But when I heard a little of the radio interview this morning it made me feel incredible depressed. Stupid idiot that he is, I am pretty sure that deep down Gazza thought he could genuinely help and was, really was trying to do the right thing. his problem is that he has no sense of what the right thing is - he has no sense of propriety whatsoever.

I think he is naive and trusting in the most dangerous sense.

I think it is this that has lead him to make so many stupid decisions, be taken for a ride by everyone and this same instinct that means he genuinely thinks/thought that this Moat guy was a 'gentleman' and absolutely no danger to him or the public at large. there is this giant 90 stone ginger nutcase with a sawn off shotgun and Gazza wants to eat KFC, have a beer and have a little night fishing with him.

Gaza will be dead in a couple of years, and he has the mind of a 10 year old. He's stupid, irresponsible and vaguely disgusting to behold, but I think he was being good=hearted and kind natured, no matter how booze-addled and inappropriate that was.

Ouch - Live Messenger Beta (to get the Sync Beta) dropped its connection, and has since been unable to reconnect (no wait, it just reconnected whilst simultaneously telling me it couldn't)... but in the process managed to totally kill iTunes streaming to the Airport. Not cool.

It's like going through an old DSL router (as a switch) and two HomePlugs to the O2 router then the Airport is asking for trouble, or something! Hilariously convoluted method of playing music in the living room now I think about it.

Exactly. It was pretty sad, quite a shame really. I mean he presumably did know the guy and it must have affected him. He must be permanently drunk though the daft old sod.
