Out tomorrow, it is a FPS shooty game of shootyness, but could be quite good. It is a XBLA game costing 1200 points (the same as a MW2 map pack) and has the following:

4 player co-op.
12 online maps.
7 game modes.
weapon customisation.

The videos on IGN look pretty good, I wouldn't expect anything mind blowingly new, but for £10, what do you expect?

http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/objects/143/14336939.html

I am hoping there is a demo.

Blacklight is the proper name for UV light.

I've got it. And played it. It's very mediocre but about 3 million times better than Frac/ture. Which is pus filled diarrhoea nappy.

This is up, but an error prevents you from downloading it, and has done all day. More news as it breaks.

Unless I'm missing something extremely subtle, this is fucking rubbish! Ugly as hell as well. Just awful. They're not gonna be pulling people away from CoD anytime soon that's for sure. It plays like a generic tacked on multiplayer component of the sort of singleplayer centric FPS that you'd only bother playing for gamerpoints, but it's JUST a multiplayer game.

How can the developers possibly have a bash of Halo 3 then play this and think 'yeah, job done'. Urgh. Possibly worth a try just to see for yourselves.

You never played Shadowrun, I take it.

I did, actually! On PC. But what of it? It was average, this is worse. And ugly.

IIRC it's one of the few games where Xbox & PC gamers can play online together.

And the reason that that's so rare is that the result of PC and 360 gamers playing together is THIS:

Actually it was quite clever how it did it... it messed around with a load of values to play to the different strengths of each control method... like xbox users had more recoil on their weapons, and pc users had lots of motion blur if they tried to turn too fast.

I played this. It's a shocking piece of shit.

Weapons feel weedy, hit detection is rubbish, controls are all loose and flappy and Black on the original Xbox looks better.

They really have shot themselves in the foot with the hype on this haven't they?

Thank Christ! I'm glad you thought the same because I was worried it might've just been me. I can't get over how bloody ugly it is. It really is PS2/Xbox era kinda ugly. It's unbelievably bad.

You could maybe excuse the looks with the size of the download but then look at Battlefield 1943. It's just a horrible grey addition to a genre that really doesn't need it.

This is true, it's only about 700MB, but I too then immediately think about the gorgeous BF1943. It's shit.

It's Dan Whitehead so you may as well ask your Gran what she thought but anyway 5/10 from Eurogamer
