Cars! Guns! Fire! Cliffs! Criminals!
Speeding along mountain roads in a flaming car while being shot at by gangsters!

Danger is exciting, it has risks but it can also have rewards. Your challenge for the next fortnight is to find DANGER*, stare it in the face & then take its picture :metul:

Rules?
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
1. It's not a competition. You're only challenging yourselves & I won't be picking a winner.
2. Use what you've got. Your ideas & execution are more important than how good your gear is.
3. Lurkers will be frowned at, join in.
4. Funny/clever titles are encouraged.
5. Advice giving & asking for help is encouraged too. Some folk are better/more knowledgeable than others, share ideas.
6. You can tell people about this. It's not Fight club, if you know someone who'd like it let them know. After all the original photo challenge was one of the reasons I stuck around, it was something to be a part of while I got a feel for you lot :)
7. Really there are no rules, just try & stick with the theme.

Additional notes: I'm not going to say old pictures from your collection aren't allowed, but I will point out that it's hardly a challenge (even if your collection is huge). The aim of the challenge is to encourage you to get off your arses & get out the door. Hopefully the results will be some nice/interesting pictures & an improvement in your abilities.

OOT THE WINDAE!
CLOUDS

Half the pictures from the original series of challenges have disappeared, however in the interests of completeness I'll link to the search. It's worth a wee look as there were some cracking photies :)

*Not to be confused with death. I've enough on my conscience without encouraging folk to get themselves into perilous predicaments ;)

There was a signpost in Yosemite National Park that warned that you were entering mountain lion country. One of the instructions listed was:

"If attacked by a mountain lion, fight back".

I wish I'd taken a photo.

EDIT - Ooh, this isn't my photo, I grabbed it off the internet, but the sign is brilliant.

Image

I like the top-left picture on the right, "Do a Michael Jackson impression", and the bottom-left "In an attempt to preserve your own skin, feed your children to the lion".

I have a picture in my collection of the sign on a beach in Benbecula, which says
"DANGER, DO NOT TOUCH ANY OBJECT ON THIS BEACH, IT MAY EXPLODE AND KILL YOU"

But, I won't post it.

To be perfectly safe, you'd have to be some terrifying amalgam of myself and Gaywood.

Without the text that bottom one looks like it's advising you to use nearby children as human shields.

Dangerous things that I never got a picture of included; a mother duck & her troop of ducklings trying to cross the busy A78, taking it in turns to set off a "Slow Down" sign, Skegs cycling the wrong way round Hunterston roundabout in front of the Polis and the Pikeys that are living down the North Shore.

Like that one, I tried to do the same thing but failed. Boo. Nice rust colour and yes, nice depth-o-field.

Imagine tearing your pants on that on a misguided fence-hop on a ramble - danger, danger!

On topic (almost as there is no photo) there is a sign on the light switch as you enter my office, "warning, 420V."
I just love the way that I have to be careful around 420 v, but 240 is fine.
