Be Excellent To Each Other

My wife knocked over a really nice terracotta giraffe ornament we had, and the head broke off, a bit jagged but reasonably cleanly. It's fairly hefty.

I need to fix it back on and was wondering what is the fixative of choice. The wife loves trying (and failing, well she doesn't love the failing bit so much) to fix things with superglue, but I imagine that won't work too well.

I was just thinking of using a bit of cement and then painting over the scar to try and disguise it a bit, but if anyone has any better ideas.....

Superglue won't work very well because it'll soak into the terracotta. Epoxy would probably be a better bet.

I got some epoxy once, Araldite. Fucking rubbish it was, the other tube wasn't any better.

Mmm, that's what I told her.

You want superglue gel with activator.

No More Nails?

I know a man who reversed his Land Rover into a wall and made it break in two and fall over (the wall not the Land Rover). He stuck it back together with No More Nails and it was still standing when he sold the house years later.

Or I could ask Mrs Chinny when she gets home as she is a ceramic specialist.
