I think if I was a drug lord the last thing I'd do is have my guns gold plated. The second to last thing i'd do would be having a menagerie of dangerous big cats. The third last thing I'd do is stash large quantities of cash around the joint; instead I'd have used some of that money to build a large underground vault or laundered the money through various means or deposited it all in a Swiss bank account.

You seem to have this all planned out...

The first thing you do, which these guys clearly forgot, is to be on time with delivering bits of that cash pile to the politicos and the police chief to ensure that you don't actually get raided.

When (my cousin - Ed) was involved in things like that, it was standard practice on raids to bring along several electronic cash counters alongside the cash sniffer dogs. Also, he told me that the way they dealt with aggressive dogs was to set off a CO2 fire extinguisher in the dog's face. This generally worked really well, until one day the new recruit was told to "Use the fire extinguisher on the dog" with tragically amusing consequences.

Fully agree. Theirs a reason guns aren't normally made out of gold.... mostly I'd imagine because they're expensive and also at a guess, probably would melt when used.

The photo's do look odd. I assume some of the photo's are of the Drug Barron's Army and other of the Police raid. Also I very much doubt they'd burn all that.

The evidence/haul would suggest this quite strongly.

I want to call Bullshit on this, but have no evidence. The photo of the guns on the table with the bad guys being walked past in cuffs screams staged to me.

Also, I like the statement of 'They even found some Chinese Yen'. Now that is impressive.

I suspect it's a compilation from lots of such raids.
