They don't suffer enough that way. Those fuckers need to suffer, after what they did to Maddie and Mr Dave.

Foxes round here have taken to shitting on my door mat. On the bank holiday we're taking the car out and hunting the fuckers with a nail gun.

At one of our flats in london we had a courtyard garden, split between us and the flat downstairs. Dumb bitch used to feed the fucking things, so we ended up with two very tame families of foxes moving into the garden, and they were quite completely not bothered about humans, to the extent of actually wandering up the stairs to our flat and walking in the open french doors and having a look round.

Fucking. Cunts.

Watching TV now, I would suggest banning Junior Apprentice. Also, banning Karen Brady unless she starts looking like a hot, filthy slut as she did when she first rocked up at Birmingham City.

And Foxes. But not their Glacier Mints.

I also want badgers unprotected. They spread TB and are vicious little buggers. You don't want a badger in your henhouse.

(Besides, what's the only nation or territory to leave the EU or its predecessor organisations? Greenland, that's who. Hardly a great precedent!)

I have been foxhunting on a quad bike, with a shotgun.
We didn't manage to kill it, but then it was very dark, it was xmas eve, we were quite pissed, the driver of the other quad was 12.

IIRC it's only one "church" and that is Hereford Cathedral.
I think I read somewhere there's a similar ancient statute regarding archery and the Scottish somewhere in the North.

York.

Crossbowing the Welsh within the city walls is still lega in Chester. And encouraged.

I believe it is entirely legal to murder a Scotsman within the ancient city walls of York, provided the aforementioned Scot is packing a bow and arrow. Certainly one for our Scotch forum members to think about, were they considering any York-based archery shenanigans.

It's all pish and nonsense though. It isn't legal, the law just hasn't been repealed, it has been superceded by other laws. :)

While you're reading that can you confirm any other ancient and silly statutes, like being a Freeman of the City of London and being allowed to drive sheep through the City.

Or that it's apparently illegal to stand on your exterior window ledge on a Sunday

That rag and bone men are allowed to urinate in the street as long as they do it against one of the wheels of their cart

Or that ducks have right of way on the public highway.

Its urinate on the offside rear wheel of any public carriage for hire.

And pigs have right of way.

I remember them doing this on The Sunday Show. I tuned in for it regularly. And not Jenny Ross. Oh no.

Yep. So why were/are the Tories so keen to repeal the law? Surely there are better ways to hunt down and kill a fox than having to utilitise 37 dogs, 22 horses and an Apache attack helicopter.

"He's a wily old fox the, er, fox. I'll never forget the day we thought we had him cornered and then I heard the cry 'Shit! He's got a bazooka."

I've no idea Pliss; I can only guess that your average Tory Grandee probably quite enjoys a good ol' bout of fox extermination on horseback, tooting that infernal horn and dressing rather strangely.

There again, I'm pretty neutral as regards fox hunting - I do permit the Hunt access to my land, for instance, to keep in with the Gentry around these parts. It is a fine spectacle in some ways, at least to my eyes - until they capture a fox that is, which thankfully I've not seen. Plus, foxes are a bit of a pain in the arse; if they're not hunted they'll only be poisoned or shot instead.

I dunno; strikes me that the British get all hung up on meaningless shit like this, whilst the killing of 600,000 innocent civilians in our name or the destruction of our entire economy by the combined efforts of our government and banks, for instance, is met with mild indignation at best, shortly followed by shoulder-shrugging, gurning apathy. (Shit, we nearly re-elected 'em).

The only experience I've had of a hunt was helping* repair fences & hedges on my uncle's farm after one had ran across his land without permission. Hunting through a sheep farm? Fuck them, irresponsible cunts.
*Probably not helping that much, I was the same height as the sheep.

I think that particular debate was always about a bit more than fox hunting. Fox hunting itself seems to me to be pretty obviously out of whack with the rest of our animal cruelty laws.

Meh, hardly mate - I'm not even middle class, let alone a toff.
Just because I've got land and stuff doesn't make me one of the landed gentry - only generations of in-breeding can do that. :D

I think we should reform the rather antiquated national speed limit.

:this:

Or at least I am of the opinion the speed limit on motorways should be around 90 mph. I'm sure that the programme the BBC had on not too long ago about the history of the motorways mentioned that they were designed for cars to travel at 100 mph along them, but the limit was reduced to 70 mph in large part due to the cars of the time not being capable of sustaining 100 mph for long periods without going bang. With todays modern car engine and safety technology, there's no reason for maintaining that limit on the motorways.

Meh. Fat chance of a 100mph motorway speed limit; the enviro-kiljoys would just love that one.
'Zeitgeist' and 'not in keeping with' spring to mind, however much I personally think the ridiculous current 70mph limit should be upped. We'd all be branded polar bear murderers.

That's a bit odd. Considering they already have a mechanism for making roads (even dual carriageways) 40-limit roads if needed, I don't see the point in dropping the national speed limit.

Precisely what I'm talking about here, Cras. It's you, in your inoffensive Renault Clio, who is really the planet-raper around here! The hippies should be descending on your abode, with their bongs, placards and offensive tie-dyed T-shirts (achieved via the use of Kool-Aid of course :D )

Yes.

It's a shame it's open submission. It's already packed with 15 copies of the same thing and the same ton of semi-literate drivel as the petitions site was. What they should have said was "Here is a breakdown of the major laws and acts that we think have an impact on civil liberties in the UK. Vote to appeal or amend each as appropriate."

"Cannabis", "Copyright", "Motoring", "Civil liberties", "CRB Checks", "Privacy" and "Smoking" seem to be popular.

Yeah, I read one earlier saying that "cannabbiss -Sic" should be made legal as long as people can be allowed something like 8 kgs a month and then that would put dealers out of business because most dealers in the UK are Asian.

Yep.. pass that as a law!

Presumably it's being done the other way so as to attract the wrong kind of nutter, patiently put up with their insane grievances for as long as possible and then drop the whole thing once everyone else agrees it was a good effort but what are you going to do, you guys are better at looking after the laws and stuff anyway.

Not just the British. "One death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic". It's human nature.
