It is with sadness that I am announcing my resignation as moderator. I almost decided to step down before the last election, but I was hoping real world stuff would die down and I'd go back to having a bit more free time. If anything, though, I'm just getting busier and busier.

I've had a fantastic time serving you all and feel incredibly proud of what we've achieved here. I still very much want to be a part of it as much as I can, and won't rule out standing again in the future if time and other commitments permit.

Rather than just plodding along until the next election, I think it would be fairer to give someone else a crack now. I was going to wait until Craster got back from holiday, but Grim...'s comment has prompted me to bring this forward.

Grim.../kalmar: if you guys are happy with this, then I'll move the thread into the main forum and invite applications. The least I can do is to perform the administration required to secure a successor.

Or if you want to wait until Craster's back, I can post it then.

I am happy with whatever you decide.

We at the EoaE party believe in more norks, fewer qualified people and less terrorism. That's why I know we can COUNT on your support in the forthcoming election.

We also, strongly, believe in the Amstrad range of products. None of us have actually owned an Amstrad, although squibby the tea boy's dad did once buy a PC2286 which he described as "utter shit" shortly before returning it. However we are big fans of tape decks, The Apprentice and colourful buttons.

As you are no doubt aware, 99.99% of current mods are fiddling their expenses. Do YOU think that's acceptable? Do YOU think my opponent who is from OUT OF TOWN and whom spends most of his time OUT OF TOWN will do anything about it?
