as tweeted by Felicia Day. I for one do't like it. Imagine of Felicia herself was teal and orange? Colour grading was fine in, say, Fellowship of the Ring where they upped the gold count in the green of Hobbiton to make it look so gorgeous. But really, no, it sucks a fat one these days.

I loved the work done on O Brother for that dreamy old time look, but this teal and orange madness HAS to stop.

And is there one shot Michael Bay did in Transformers in daylight that wasn't filmed (or ruthlessly tweaked) to look like it was taken during the 'golden hour'? It's all horrible and unnatural, I wish they'd stop. I'd much rather see films with more natural light and a real colour balance, then my brain wouldn't be quietly telling me that I was actually watching a movie instead of being immersed in the lives of others.

I thought the first decent use of this was in Finchers Se7en, its on the special edition DVD features. That was released in 1995.
