Romping through the Easy (Automatic) playthrough and got the
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Ice Skates!

last night, managed to miss part of the LP on my previous plays. Managing to earn loads more Halos now I'm concentrating on combos. At this rate I'll have enough dosh to buy all the Accessories and Alt Weapons for my 1337 playthrough.

This game is still so much fun.

I'm guessing you'd disagree with Zero Punctuation's review of it?

I started playing this at the weekend. It's just Devil May Cry with extra added fun and less hateful controls. Currently very much enjoying just running and jumping and pounding the crap out of the bad guys whilst being invincible. Very much funs.

Questions!

1 - When you do certain moves or finishers or whatnot, you get a dial and can mash the pad to get more Gigatons, or something. What effect does that have on what goes on?

2 - Can I really only save the game at the end of a chapter? I got halfway through the first one, then went back and it told me I couldn't start from a checkpoint. :(

1. You have filled your magic gauge (by killing enemies in a row without taking a slapping) this gives you a torture attack - More halos.

2. Just exit the game rather than going back to the save menu, and it will start you off from where it last saved in game. Doesn't make much sense but trust me. Always save it at the end of the chapter when you're back in the save menu though.

So you get more halos if you up the gigatons or whatever? Coolio, will make an effort.

Hold down the Blue shoot button between hitting enemies to keep your combos going too.

Yeah, it's Ebay, but sealed copies of this are £15.89. I still can't decide whether I want it though, even at that price.

Wow - at that price, it's a cert!

The best thing I can say about is that I found it a very satisfying game, so much so that it's actually one I've completed (it might actually be only the second or third 360 game I could actually be bothered to see the ending of). It gets so much right - the difficultly settings, the combat system, the pace, the variety, the nods towards older classic Sega games and to a much lesser extent the silly storyline, that I was able to forgive the things that annoyed me. Also, once I'd finished it I wanted to replay it (I got most of the way through on normal, but had to drop down to easy for the last bits due to not being good enough :) ) to master the combat and unlock the un-lockables.

Definitely worth £16.

If/when you do play the demo, don't be put off by the bewildering intro section where you are fighting on falling buildings. The game isn't really as manic as that at all.

Most definitely - I was put off by that section but loved the full game. Once I've maxed Sega and Sonic All Stars Racing I am going back to Bayonetta for a Hard playthrough and to pick up all the LP's I have missed.

Played through Normal, Hard and almost at the end of Easy. Racking up Halos on Easy mode to buy all the goodies before Infinite Climax mode.

Hard seems harsh at first Trousers, but it just clicks after a while.

Hippos are brilliant! They're cute when they're small, look pretty dopey, but claim the lives of countless people foolish enough to stand in their way. What's not to like?

It's only this generation where a single man has the ability to make his own unique vision into a game, by himself, with no marketing and no interference and then sell 100,000 copies making himself a million euros. So yeah, this generation to a peach.

Why are they making it for a childs toy?

Jesus, one of the only games I'd played through multiple times successively and they throw the follow up onto Marios cock.

It had better be an exclusive for a set amount of time.

For fucks sake.

Yeah, maybe I hit a nerve with my hate campaign.

They can stick it up their blistered arseholes.
