Good afternoon!

How about we use this thread to say good morning/afternoon/evening/night/day/show/gravy/golly etc to leave B&B free for other miscellany?

Good day!

Indeed, it looks very nice outside the office window, as I am stuck inside while they slowly harvest my soul.

Man.. that sounds like school in September.

Just as you went back after the 6 weeks off it was still lovely outside and I would sit staring out of the window hehe.

Christ, it's the thread where stuff that isn't even good enough to go in BnB ends up.

1/10 (and the one is because a new member has posted in it)

Pah, this is the best thread ever.

(Seriously, it might serve a useful purpose as a non-threatening thread for new members, like Trooper. Ha!)

Morning!

The schoolgirls on the bus practised a scene from Jesus Christ Superstar, did an Eastenders quiz then spent ten minutes telling each other that they were not fat.

Morning all. Car nicely icy this morning.

Stopped at Tesco to get stuff for lunch this week (and something for dinner - finally found chorizo grilling sausages again after months of searching) and bought two bags of cookies. Even after doing the rounds of an office full of fat old railwaymen I still had three left!

Isn't it almost mid-march? Shouldn't it be getting above freezing by now :) Bloody cold on the walk to the office this morning.

Morning all. No doubt due to having to defrost the windshield again, I was delayed by a crucial 10 seconds. That meant that just as I approached the mountain, out of the final sidestreet before the climb exited the world's crappiest Seicento which then CRAWLED up, CRAWLED back down, CRAWLED through the fast bit and then CRAWLED all the way into fucking Cardiff and there was nothing I could do except glare angrily at these two idiots in their shitty car furiously wiping at the inside of the windows because they kept misting up because it was shit. Yes.

Morning *COUGH SPLUTTER GROAN*.

I feel really ill, but since I've got most of next week off for my 30th birthday celebrations (all day drinking on Paddy's day? Yes please!) I decided not to take the piss and call in sick. Luckily I have no direct supervision so I can skulk in my office for most of the day, not infecting anyone. Wish me luck!

They were labelled use by today, they were only baked yesterday, and the one remaining cookie was fine today.

It wasn't me.

In related news, our receptionist has just rang me and asked me to move her computer to the new building. People don't like you saying 'no', do they.

I of course, then explained that I am not a porter or a removals man. If she gets the equipment moved, I will gladly install it at the other end.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not getting her to do it. If that were the only option, then I would certainly do it. It's just that we have a team of burly, shaven headed chaps that are paid the big bucks* to move shit around for us.

Claim that you're forbidden to lift anything more than a paper clip because "heavy lifting" isn't in your work contract, and therefore the company wouldn't be insured if you hurt yourself and sued them.

Because that is probably true.

Good morning! Decided to follow a white van down the A470 today, and he didn't seem bothered by the speed limit going from 70 to 50 so I (obscured on legal advice -Ed.). And another white van kept pace.

Is now JUST warm enough that I a) don't need my undergloves in the morning and b) don't have my visor misting up.
