It must have a "time played" thing on the stats page that you can look at now you're home though, right? Something like the thing that tells me I've spent 250 hours playing Burnout Paradise :S

There is, he's at 5d 4 hours and 17mins on MW2
and about 26/27 days on cod4 if I remember correctly

You warp around like nobody's business sometimes. And we've seen some folks who when they're lagged take entire clips of ammo and it registers (for us) as a hit but nothing happens to them and they just fire back and kill us.

I've also had people die 10-15 seconds after I shot them. As in, I shot them full of bullets, got killed, respawned, and then had a 'you killed [CUNT]L4gg3dFCK0r' pop up after I've respawned and started running around again.

Aye, I've had folk impressed at my m4d 5k1llz & other folk calling me a h4xX0r in the same game of FFA before. I get called a camping n00b a lot these days too because I've slowed down & started listening more. Most folk don't use Ninja Pro so you can hear them coming a mile off.

Apols for any sweary shouting last night. As advertised, I was in a bad mood.

The Vector and Intervention are really terrible guns though. I should stop using them.

It just seems to take half a clip to kill someone in Hardcore, and all the bullets in the gun to kill them in normal games.

Stupid Vector.

MP5 and UMP FTW.

I've got to agree about the Vector, it does need a lot more hits from it to kill someone. It doesn't recoil as badly as some of the others though.

:waves like moron:

Afternoon, I see there is a special group of you guys who play MW2 :)

I'm always up for a game, however to warn you in advance,

I do not:
Sing down the mic
Belch down the mic
Swear about your mother in a prepubescent voice
Complain about campers when I lose
Complain about campers when I win
Complain about campers when I draw
Camp
Shoot people in an efficient manner
Know how to use a sniper rifle effectively

I may:
Swear excessively when I am playing poorly
Swear about your mother in a non-prepubescent voice
Team kill you by accident
Stab the wall rather than the enemy
Spend most of the game running in circles looking at my feet.

Feel free to add me to friend lists and invite me to a game or two if you feel the need :)

Yup, sounds pretty much like my style of play. :)

Will try and remember to add you later. We usually play in the Mosh Pit playlist unless we get greater than six players, which means we play ground war. When we get over nine players (which does happen) we start private matches. You don't want to be on the other team from Nickachu though, he is a gay fag n00blar who uses a lagswitch. (according to the rest of XBL, at least.) You also don't want to be against me because I'm either a girl or a 12 year old kid and if I beat you in front of all the other CoD gamers you must kill yourself immediatly to save your families honour.
You'll probably enjoy playing on the same side as ApplePieOfDestiny* since he is rubbish and so makes everyone else look good.**

*That name is ridiculous.

I'm usually found in Hardcore HQ Pro

For the simple reason that I find it impossible to stand still for more than 5 seconds, so having objectives means that i'm not the only idiot running around and getting shot, and hardcore mode means that as i'm such a shit shot, it takes less bullets to kill someone :D

I do play demolition every so often, and a bit of ground war if necessary ;)

That's alright then. I prefer Domination myself, but don't mind the occasional Hardcore S&D Ricochet Pro Plus Mega Potato Ultra 16.

I bloody love search and destroy. I am was wondering last night, why am I so good at Search and Destroy (if I may say so mysef :smug: ) even on Hardcore, but I totally suck at Hardcore team deathmatch?!

Domination is also fun - especially if you 'be' Lave :

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3572&p=372368&hilit=be+lave#p372368

Oh some additions to that to follow when i get a chance to write them up but Marterdom as your death perk is excellent because they all need to get close to kill you with the sheild - last time i played (last friday) we had one match in headquarters where my dropped grenade killed about 6 of the enemy :-)

Is it because you value your life more on search than you do on TDM?

I play Domination mostly, but i've never really given anything else a fair go. I used to play Hardcore Team Deathmatch with BEEX'ers on MW but not so much on MW2.
I'm starting to get the hang of Sniping a bit now though.

I stopping power it and only get OHKs occasionally. That said, I was using it with a silencer, which made me shoot one guy four times to kill him (admittedly, the last one he was in Final Stand).

I dunno... it's no more powerful that the Barrett, feels less responsive/accurate, has worse recoil and fires slower.

RUBBISH!

I play whatever other people are playing. I prefer Hardcore, as it's easier to get kills, but you get more peopel camping with that than with the objective games. Big fan of Hardcore HQ, especially as I'm trying to max out Marathon.

I only use the silencer on it in HC as it's still OHK without stopping power.

I really like it, I wish that there were more bolt action sniper rifles in the game.

I loved the first bolt action one in MW, but not this one. Much like I wasn't a fan of the R700 back in MW.

Also, GazChap, sorry we didn't accept your invite last night, but there were several of us in the party. We did send you invites back to join us lot, but you didn't turn up.

For Lave's original details of the class see here :

viewtopic.php?f=3&p=371984

How to 'kill' Lave - or 'How people are killing me when I play in Lave class'

1) The most annoying one - knifey knifey class - they just knife when i'm a mile away and kill me through the shield - if you have one of these on the other side your often better just switching to another class because the shield is practically useless (the animation on the killcam shows them knifing you in the neck)

2) Shotgun - also annoying , your crouching behind your shield and some bugger on the other team *right in front of you* shoots about 3 or 4 times and you die - I think this is more that parts of your body are not behind the shield and they can see them enough to do some damage and a few hits with stopping power on and you keel over.

3) Newb Tube - although the shield is good generally for Grenades , if they use something like the thumper in behind you with danger close - your dead

4) High powered sniper rifle - not much you can do with this - if they get a shot in a gap where your shield is not covering your down

5) Semtex - they sticky you - your dead (unless you can swap out the shield for a weapon on the ground quickly - I've never managed it but seen it mentioned as a solution).

Apart from that the main thing i find is people freak out and run away from you because they dont know what to do , or stand there shooting you while your slowly edging towards them.

For death perks I did quite like last stand because with your shield covering your front theres very little 'visible' areas for them to shoot - but have switched to marterdom just because they need to either gang up or at least get very close to kill you and they often dont make it out in time.

Also worth remembering that you can switch to your other weapon so your shield is on your back , and you can then lie down , so your shield is covering a fair bit of your body

That is quite excellent. I'm not sure why, like some sort of territorial feline, he needs to shoot everywhere he goes though.

Rather sadly, this has made me want the game, as I'd love to go looking round. Not worth £40 though.

It wasn't clear from there whether it's the case in both PC and 360 versions. I shall look around this weekend.

As much as I maintain that this is a decent game, I just always have other things I'd rather be playing. It was the same with CoD4, so I expect this will be the last MW game I buy.
